We believe each day is a gift and we promise to care for your horses as if they were our own. Our staff is trained in equine first aid and our loving care for your horses will be unmatched. We believe the horse and its relationship with the rider is unique and worth developing. So if you are having trouble trailering your horse, or just want him better prepared for a trail ride, we offer our help. With patience and proper training, the horse and rider can learn from each other.

Our farm. Hope and Joy Farms is nestled in the rolling hills of middle Tennessee. This twenty-eight acre pastoral setting is a fully functional farm and holds opportunity for both retreat and adventure. With wooded trails and pasture riding available, it is a destination for horse and owner alike to enjoy the scenic landscape. A two acre multi-use pond with a gazebo and fire pit create a place to gather after a day of riding.

Located between Nashville and Chattanooga, Hope and Joy Farms offers a country escape. Situated just outside the small town of Woodbury, it is convenient yet removed from city life. Nearby you will find the Drive-in Movie Theater, Center Hill Lake, and Short Mountain, a favorite trail riding destination for local horse lovers with over 400 acres for exploration and fun.

We are conveniently located right off of the interstate with easy access from Murfreesboro, Manchester, Smyrna, Nashville etc. I am 15 minutes from Murfreesboro and Manchester, and just 45 minutes from Nashville. We are a clean and safe farm, with great boarders who have made lifelong friends. Here are a few things the barn has to offer you and your horse:

Indoor and Outdoor arenas. Round Pen and obstacle course. Morton Barn with stalls that are 12x12 with dutch doors. Outdoor crossties for bathing, indoor crossties for tacking up, farrier, clipping etc. Trailer parking/storage. Turnout paddocks available for stall boarded horses. Veterinary and farrier services available. Our feed is Tucker Milling 10/10/10 and hay is orchard grass with a test result of 13% protein. John Lyons Trainer on premises.

Mattalyn Hughes Dressage is based out of Icon Sporthorses, LLC in the West Knoxville, TN area. Icon is the elite facility in the Knoxville area. We currently have several openings for board in October, 2016, as well as limited space for training/sales horses and lesson students.
