If you are looking for an affordable home for your equine companion with personable care you've come to the right site. Our facility is very neat, clean, & organized with well manicured, beautiful pastures. Owners are provided with daily updates about their horses and activities going on at the farm.

Our pastures are thick lush bermuda mixed fescue, cross-fenced for gender specific turnout & pasture rotation. All 5 pastures are well manicured and fertilized twice per year, and drag-harrowed about 1x per month. All pastures have an abundance of shade trees. All fencing is electric (No barbed wire)

Current amenities include: Inside H&C wash stall (infrared heater available for use as needed when present in winter); Barn Fly misting system; Lighted 50' x 100' training/obstacle play pen; Two tack storage areas; Outside matted cold water wash rack with crossties & access to electricity.

Also 3 large rafter fans, & overhead fans for stalls, sky lights, inside hot/cold matted wash rack and has rain gutters and downspouts to channel rain water away from the barn which is built on a raised pad.

Shared barn - looking for someone with 2 horses! $350 per month, 1 year contract required.

This is a really peaceful, family based atmosphere. Here you will find a well loved little red barn, behind a beautiful white country home where a loving older couple lives on site. The barn has stalls, an attached run in for shelter/shade, a tack room, and lots of storage for hay. You will find chickens, neighboring cows, and likely a happy Golden Retriever will great you often. Most days however you will find it is a very quiet place, when you can come and enjoy just being with your horse in solitude.

While the couple that lives on the farm has eyes on the horses daily, this is a self care facility, they do not tend to the horses. There are only 4 horses allowed on site, and so I am looking to share the stable with another 2 horses. The horses would live out in one large pasture with 2 well behaved others, and have access to water and shade - and lots of grass. The stalls are to use at your leisure, and responsibilities of watering and cleaning up after the horses is shared between boarders. We are a barn of trail riders, and often trailer out to Croft state park (30 min), and join many of the Western Carolina Hunter Pace rides also.

The pasture is 10 acres or more and will never be overgrazed. We do not grain the horses except for sometimes during the winter months. Hay is purchased and shared between the boarders during the winter. We have a large grass riding pen, with some jumps to enjoy. There are also trails on site behind the pasture that go to the creek. Owner/trainer Deanna Pratt has a B.S. in Equine Studies concentrating in Training the Horse and Riding Instruction from Centenary University, which allows her to give high quality instruction and take wonderful care of the horses. Between her time at Centenary and her experience in the industry, Deanna has the skills to help you or your rider achieve your or their dreams! She has experience working with green and problem horses and the ability to see through a horse antics and see their potential. For example she has worked with ones with attitudes and spooking problems to help them become rideable by anyone and able to be used in lesson programs and at horse shows. We only use top quality feed and equipment for our horses because they deserve nothing but the best. Each and every horse at Autumn Hill is treated with the same attention to detail that is given to Deanna's private horses.

Deanna's success within the industry include multiple championships in local through AA rated horse shows. In 2008, Deanna won the Local Hunter Classic (now known as HITS 2'6 Hunter) at Marshal and Sterling Finals aboard Stay Gold. In 2010 & 2011, she qualified for CHJA Medal Finals, FWPHA Medal Finals, Marshal and Sterling Medal Finals, and WHVPHA Medal Finals. In 2012, Deanna won the WHVPHA Child/ Adult Medal Finals aboard Sky. She was also the year end champion in the WHVPHA Child/ Adult Medal. In 2014, Deanna was the Zone 3 Region 3 Novice Equitation over Fences Champion and Novice on the Flat Reserve Champion qualifying her for Zone 3 Finals for Centenary's IHSA Team. At IHSA Zone 3 Finals Deanna was the Novice Equitation over Fences Champion and Novice on the Flat Reserve Champion, qualifying her for IHSA Nationals. At IHSA Nationals in 2014, Deanna was the National Champion in the Novice Equitation over Fences aboard Butterfly.

After graduation, Deanna went to work as an Assistant Trainer to Waddy Oursler at Waters Edge Stables in Apopka, FL where she trained beginners just learning about horses to advanced rider training for some of the top national finals. She showed client and sale horses in multiple AA shows including CFHJA, Fox Lea Farm and South East Medal Finals in Pre-Green Hunter, Performance Hunter, and Training Hunter. Deanna was then offered a position as Head Trainer at Ivy Rock Farms where developed their rider and show program taking clients to multiple horse shows throughout the year. In Spring of 2017, Deanna decided to venture out on her own and open Autumn Hill Stables where she can use her knowledge and experience to work with the next generation of athletes. Autumn Hill Stables was able to purchase its own facility in the summer of 2019, where we will continue to grow and develop to fit each and every client and horse's needs.
