We teach all aspects of horses and horsemanship; Western, English and Gaited Pleasure and Training Level Dressage… to all ages on your horse or ours. If you need to train your horse and yourself...we give reduced rate lessons to our horse boarders! We also teach people how to round pen and do ground work exercises to improve your horse and your horsemanship. All work with horses is done with natural horsemanship! Snapps Creek Stables is the perfect alternative to the large, intense, expensive and restrictive environments of the high-end stables. We have no walls of ribbons or trophies, no horses of prestigious bloodlines, and no haughty attitudes. Consequently, you do not invariably help subsidize such activities. We don't have dress codes (except ideally helmets and heals). We don't break horses, breed, sell, host shows, offer touristy riding by the hour or accept stallions. We do have comfortable facilities, a friendly atmosphere, and a commitment to quality care of your loved one in a nurturing, informal environment. Our specialty is the care of your horse. Retirement and special needs horses are most welcome.

Although we are not competitive, does not mean that you can't be. We have all the facilities needed to fulfill your training needs with a large arena, round pen, jumps, barrels and even a storage area for your trailer.

We offer retirement board and will have an opening available in spring 2016.We understand that the older or chronically unsound horse has different needs and that it can be stressful finding the perfect retirement home. We pride ourselves on maintaining a safe facility and offering the best quality care possible. Board is $300/ month and includes:

-Free-choice hay and grain as needed (particularly hard keepers may be charged for extra grain)
-Weekly grooming
-Regular deworming (with yearly fecal egg counts performed by our veterinarian to ensure the efficacy of our deworming program)
-Regular professional hoof trims
-Blanket and fly mask/sheet changes
-Small turnout group sizes in well-maintained fields, safe fencing, and multiple checks per day
