The 35-acre facility was established in 2004 by the Ogren family. We have space available for one retirement horse to join our mare as a companion on our personal property. There are approximately 8 acres of fenced pasture, individual paddocks available, and two shelters, so horses can be separated for feeding. Our mare cannot eat hay and is on a special diet, so we can provide any specialized care your equine may need. Price is negotiable depending on the services required. We offer retirement board and will have an opening available in spring 2016.We understand that the older or chronically unsound horse has different needs and that it can be stressful finding the perfect retirement home. We pride ourselves on maintaining a safe facility and offering the best quality care possible. Board is $300/ month and includes:

-Free-choice hay and grain as needed (particularly hard keepers may be charged for extra grain)
-Weekly grooming
-Regular deworming (with yearly fecal egg counts performed by our veterinarian to ensure the efficacy of our deworming program)
-Regular professional hoof trims
-Blanket and fly mask/sheet changes
-Small turnout group sizes in well-maintained fields, safe fencing, and multiple checks per day
