Riding lessons are available for all levels of riders from just beginning to the advanced competitive rider. We have certified instructors for our lesson program. Lessons are for ages 5 & up. We offer instruction for those wanting to ride for pleasure or show. Our focus is primarily on Ranch Pleasure, Barrel racing, pole Bending, western Pleasure, working equitation , groundwork & natural horsemanship ; however, all disciplines are welcome. We have a show team that shows local 4-H and saddle clubs each week through April to October.

We offer many different types of boards with many extra amenities! We pride ourselves on attention to detail and have years of experience managing performance and high-maintenance horses. All horses have an individual nutrition plan for their own specific needs.. Horses enjoy natural living on large 70 + acres, well-maintained pastures safely enclosed by fencing . Every pasture has mature trees for shade and protection, and horses always have access to fresh water and a mineral salt block .Most of our boarding is pasture care, which encourages a relaxed, hands-on environment for the whole barn . Mattalyn Hughes Dressage is based out of Icon Sporthorses, LLC in the West Knoxville, TN area. Icon is the elite facility in the Knoxville area. We currently have several openings for board in October, 2016, as well as limited space for training/sales horses and lesson students.
