Gunners Run Stables is a well maintained pasture boarding farm with large indoor stalls if an ill or injured horse needs to be kept in for one on one observation. We are 40 acres with a variety of amenities on the property.
Gunners Run accommodates their boarders with Large pastures, Extra Large run in shelters, hay is fed 24/7 plus individual feed buckets once a day every day with a mixture of Timothy/Alfalfa cubes, Beet Pulp, Steamed Rolled Oats, and Grain along with Extra Large water troughs that are closely monitored. We have an outdoor riding arena, Full size round pen, out door wash rack with heated water, Trailer parking,Tack Room, and Kitchen.
The stables are located just 5 miles from Rush Creek trails, or enjoy the scenic views of the country while riding around our 40 acre property.
Training is also ALWAYS available!!
Don (owner) offers specialized Training in
Natural Horsemanship, Western Discipline Skills, Filly & Colt Training, and Ranch Work.
All training evaluations are Free.

Your horse will have a great time at our 80 acre facility with all day turn out on large grassy pastures. We have trails on the property, indoor and outdoor arenas, a full size round pen, a large heated clubhouse with a TV, kitchen and shower, indoor & outdoor wash racks and plenty of tack room space! Horses are fed twice per day and stalls are cleaned daily. Hay bales are always available in the pastures. Empire Equestrian Center is a 22 stall facility located 5 minutes from I90 and Route 20 in Marengo IL. We offer a full service boarding facility. 5 outdoor pastures, with turnout to suit your horses needs. We also offer full horse and rider Training in Balanced seat for most discipline, as well as individual circumstances or specific behaviors. We have a combined 30 years experience in the horse show arena as well as in basic care. Our on staff barn management team has had emergency vet care clinics as well as on the job training for many years.

We have had the pleasure of Brittany Burson taking new Dressage clients out of our barn. We enjoy her teaching style and ethics. Empire Equestrian Center is excited about such positive forward motion!!!

Our goal is to provide a safe, healthy and balanced environment for both horse and rider. As well as help each member of our stable achieve their individual goals, again horse and rider.

Amenities include a large Indoor and a sizable outdoor arena, a working round pen, trot poles, cavalettis, cow flag, heated washroom, enclosed tack room and trailer parking. Groomed trails on property and within close proximity to several Forest Preserves.
