Caring for horses is my passion in life. I have had horses since childhood. My name is Sandy and I am the owner of Red Knoll Farm LLC. I live on the farm that is located 2.5 miles outside Chapin, SC town limits. I currently have 2 openings for boarding for. This will include feeding grain twice a day. The horses are in their stalls while eating then turned out to pasture. I provide rotational deworming. There is also a 3 acre fenced in dry lot. Our farm is conveniently located a short distance from Chapin, Columbia and Newberry SC. We have 25 years of experience caring for horses of all breeds and stages of their lives. We live on the premises. We feed grain twice a day along with hay in the winter. The horses are locked in stalls for stress free eating then turned out to pasture. There are 20 acres of trails on the property. The farrier comes every 7 weeks or you can schedule your own. We have a 60x120 lighted riding ring. We are not a show or competition barn. Our rates are $350 per month which includes grain, hay in winter and rotational deworming. There is a barn on the back of the property for self care boarding. We are a hunter/jumper boarding and training facility located in Irmo, South Carolina. We are minutes from downtown Columbia, University of South Carolina and all of Columbia's suburbs.

Our facility is located in the beautiful Ascot neighborhood and features a custom built barn with 16 matted stalls, office and lounge, large tackroom and laundry area. An additional barn on the property features a second tackroom as well as 6 more stalls in a shedrow fashion.

Our facility has two riding rings. The main ring is competition size and filled with a full course of horse show quality jumps. A smaller dressage arena is located adjacent to the larger ring and is used primarily for teaching less experienced riders, flatwork and gymnastic exercises. A wonderful bridle path is built to encompass the facility and serves as the perfect place to cool the horses off or go for a relaxing ride. The neighborhood also has acres of trails throughout.

We are home to the Creekside Farm IEA team and are in our 2nd season. We finished the 2011 season taking riders to IEA Nationals in Syracuse, NY. All middle and high school riders are welcome to participate on the team and outside riders are welcome with trainer permission as long as they are in regular lessons.

We offer horse showing on the PSJ, SCHJA and A circuits with reputable and experienced trainers. Fun family atmosphere for children and adults! Our record of success with our horses and clients speaks for itself. No horse or rider is too green to benefit from our program.

Jenny Fair is an ICP level I certified instructor through the United States Eventing Association and has been training, teaching and coaching professionally for over 15 years. Jenny Fair is the head trainer at Elhanan Equestrian, and previously Jenny taught at Meredith Manor International Equestrian Center, preparing students for a career in the horse industry in jumping, dressage and western disciplines. With an emphasis on correct classical training of horse and rider, Jenny is very passionate about developing a strong bond between horse and rider and is happy to work riders of all levels and disciplines.

Fiddle Creek Farm is an equine retirement home. Pasture board is recommended as many seniors have arthritis. Each 3 acre paddock has a three-sided run in. All horses are brought into the barn and fed twice daily. Stalls are a roomy 16x16 with mounted fans with misters. Horses will be stalled during inclement winter weather.
Boarding fee is $200 per month. This includes quality senior feed supplemented with soaked shredded beet pulp and soaked alfalfa cubes as most senior horses are no longer able to effectively chew grass or hay. Hay is given even if they are only able to quid their forage. Hooves are trimmed every 4 weeks during the summer and every 6 weeks during winter. Twice yearly veterinarian visits for vaccinations, boosters, rabies and pulling of Coggins are billed to the owners.
The owner, a certified ARIA barn manager, has worked extensively rehabbing and caring for rescued horses during the last 12 years. As a result she is very aware of the needs and care of older horses. Coastal hay round bales are accessible 24/7 in winter and as needed in summer. Farrier is scheduled every seven weeks or you may schedule your own.
