Elhanan Equestrian’s world-class riding facility is conveniently positioned in Hodges, SC. We are centrally located within a close drive from Greenwood, Abbeville, Ware Shoals, Ninety Six and more. Our centralized location puts us within easy reach of horse country in any direction, with Aiken, Tryon, and Conyers all a quick day trip. Ours is a private, friendly community of horses and owners, a haven just outside of town for your horse to live and for you to ride, learn and make new friends.

Elhanan Equestrian is an English Riding Stable specializing in Eventing, Dressage, Hunter/Jumper, and Pony Club disciplines. Teaching balanced horsemanship and centered riding theory to all ages and abilities, we seek to develop the healthy body, mind, and spirit of horse and rider, to instill the confidence and ability to achieve their goals, and to bring people together to celebrate and enjoy horses. For the serious rider looking to improve their performance in the show ring, the goal oriented competitor, or the beginner just starting out, communication is a huge part of our training philosophy. Each rider- no matter their skill level- can understand how the horse thinks and how to better communicate with their equine partner with simple horsemanship tools and techniques, We strive for riders to achieve a true partnership with their horse both on the ground and while riding.

Starting youngsters, brushing up the trained horse, or bringing a horse to the next level, Jenny maintains the classical dressage methodology in all aspects of horse training and care. Youngsters are brought along slowly, with an emphasis on clear communication and mutual trust. Horses receive a well-rounded education through cross training and relaxing hacks out of the arena setting. This keeps the horses fresh and happy in their work. Each horse receives a program tailored to fit the individual needs of the equine athlete.

We believe competitions provide a goal to work toward. Whether your focus is on riding in your first show, aspiring to compete at a rated show, or to some day ride at the Advanced levels of Eventing or Dressage, we know equine competition is one of the rare and unique sports that is not just about winning, but about the process. Showing is a vehicle for building self-esteem and learning valuable life lessons for young and old. Jenny Fair is an ICP level I certified instructor through the United States Eventing Association and has been training, teaching and coaching professionally for over 15 years. Jenny Fair is the head trainer at Elhanan Equestrian, and previously Jenny taught at Meredith Manor International Equestrian Center, preparing students for a career in the horse industry in jumping, dressage and western disciplines. With an emphasis on correct classical training of horse and rider, Jenny is very passionate about developing a strong bond between horse and rider and is happy to work riders of all levels and disciplines.

Fiddle Creek Farm is an equine retirement home. Pasture board is recommended as many seniors have arthritis. Each 3 acre paddock has a three-sided run in. All horses are brought into the barn and fed twice daily. Stalls are a roomy 16x16 with mounted fans with misters. Horses will be stalled during inclement winter weather.
Boarding fee is $200 per month. This includes quality senior feed supplemented with soaked shredded beet pulp and soaked alfalfa cubes as most senior horses are no longer able to effectively chew grass or hay. Hay is given even if they are only able to quid their forage. Hooves are trimmed every 4 weeks during the summer and every 6 weeks during winter. Twice yearly veterinarian visits for vaccinations, boosters, rabies and pulling of Coggins are billed to the owners.
The owner, a certified ARIA barn manager, has worked extensively rehabbing and caring for rescued horses during the last 12 years. As a result she is very aware of the needs and care of older horses. Owner/trainer Deanna Pratt has a B.S. in Equine Studies concentrating in Training the Horse and Riding Instruction from Centenary University, which allows her to give high quality instruction and take wonderful care of the horses. Between her time at Centenary and her experience in the industry, Deanna has the skills to help you or your rider achieve your or their dreams! She has experience working with green and problem horses and the ability to see through a horse antics and see their potential. For example she has worked with ones with attitudes and spooking problems to help them become rideable by anyone and able to be used in lesson programs and at horse shows. We only use top quality feed and equipment for our horses because they deserve nothing but the best. Each and every horse at Autumn Hill is treated with the same attention to detail that is given to Deanna's private horses.

Deanna's success within the industry include multiple championships in local through AA rated horse shows. In 2008, Deanna won the Local Hunter Classic (now known as HITS 2'6 Hunter) at Marshal and Sterling Finals aboard Stay Gold. In 2010 & 2011, she qualified for CHJA Medal Finals, FWPHA Medal Finals, Marshal and Sterling Medal Finals, and WHVPHA Medal Finals. In 2012, Deanna won the WHVPHA Child/ Adult Medal Finals aboard Sky. She was also the year end champion in the WHVPHA Child/ Adult Medal. In 2014, Deanna was the Zone 3 Region 3 Novice Equitation over Fences Champion and Novice on the Flat Reserve Champion qualifying her for Zone 3 Finals for Centenary's IHSA Team. At IHSA Zone 3 Finals Deanna was the Novice Equitation over Fences Champion and Novice on the Flat Reserve Champion, qualifying her for IHSA Nationals. At IHSA Nationals in 2014, Deanna was the National Champion in the Novice Equitation over Fences aboard Butterfly.

After graduation, Deanna went to work as an Assistant Trainer to Waddy Oursler at Waters Edge Stables in Apopka, FL where she trained beginners just learning about horses to advanced rider training for some of the top national finals. She showed client and sale horses in multiple AA shows including CFHJA, Fox Lea Farm and South East Medal Finals in Pre-Green Hunter, Performance Hunter, and Training Hunter. Deanna was then offered a position as Head Trainer at Ivy Rock Farms where developed their rider and show program taking clients to multiple horse shows throughout the year. In Spring of 2017, Deanna decided to venture out on her own and open Autumn Hill Stables where she can use her knowledge and experience to work with the next generation of athletes. Autumn Hill Stables was able to purchase its own facility in the summer of 2019, where we will continue to grow and develop to fit each and every client and horse's needs.

Specilize in breeding of Mangalara Marchadors horses and full service boarding.

Flying M Farms is a private boarding farm. We used to stand two stallions that we bred and we foaled out many show foals. We showed our stock while the kids were young. Kid's are grown and have moved on so I'm putting this nice place to work again. Offering pasture board at $250.00 per horse.
In Winter we have a feeding fee of $30 per month. As all horses are fed by us so we know all have eaten and checked over. In winter all boarders split rounds and grain cost which are extra. The feed bill will be tallied up at the end of the month and we only charge what the horses have eaten. This allows us to keep cost down for all of us. If we get coupons we share that with all. We put out hay as needed while grain is everyday. When the grass comes in enough and we stop feeding grain then the 30 dollar fee goes away. We also offer two separate medical, retirement or stallion lots with their own shelters. Those we will discuss what the care that is needed and come up with a price for you. We are open to all disciplines,jumps,barrels etc.
