Current openings: 1 We are a private boarding barn on 23 acres located in Village of Vernon/Village of Big Bend WI. With 10 stalls in total we can be the cozy stable your horse calls home! At $300 a month your board includes: A stall for your horse in inclement weather.

Note: Whilst horses are under our care and apart of the herd they must: -be dewormed 2x yearly (on the same day as the entire heard)

We have regularly scheduled farrier visits every 6-8 weeks, spring shots and coggins with Johnson equine services and falls shots and dental with kettle moraine equine. These are available for you to join in on if you board with us, we require payment beforehand for the farrier visits unless you plan to be there when the trims are being done. We ask that anyone who boards with us provide us with current coggins and vaccinations paperwork. Treat others how you'd like to be treated, and treat the property with respect. Achy Breaky Acres is the newest horse boarding facility in Sparta, Wisconsin! We have extra roomy inside stalls (16x16), a huge outdoor arena, an indoor riding arena that's 60x120, and private pastures. Our Stable is located 4 miles West of Evansville, 7 miles South of Brooklyn and 7 miles North of Brodhead, just off Highway 104. ScotLyn Farm & Stables LLC Boarding facility completely transitioned to "slow hay net feeding systems" in all of our hay feeders, in April 2024. Slow net feeding generally provides hay in front of horses 24/7/365 and aids in healthy digestion, healthy stimulation, and helps prevents horses from having an empty stomach for long periods of time. It is also believed that slow net feeding aids the reduction of ulcers, colic and promotes constant chewing. Slow feed hay nets are also a great way for horse owners to help their horses maintain mental stimulation. These nets are designed to slow the eating process, extending the eating time which promotes saliva production. It is well believed that Saliva is a buffer that helps protect a horse from ulcers, colic, and other stomach issues. Slow hay feeding nets can also help reduce boredom or vices arising from too much time on their hands.

I have owned horses my whole life. Bred my own studs, raised my own foals from my mares and trained reining horses for a living for a couple of years. The horses boarded here are treated like a member of the family with high quality care.
Pasture boarding fee, which is rough turn out with a group, is $175/month which includes hay, pasture grazing. Horses are able to go in or out of a large pen in the shed as they choose. Pasture is kept up and mowed regularly. Has quality mixture specifically for horse grazing.
Stall boarding in $375/month with agreed upon turn out. Stalls are approximately 15ftX15ft, are durable and safe. Stalls are bedded with Marth shavings and cleaned daily.
If you want 1/2 turnout and 1/2 stall it is $300 per month. Grain, supplements, etc. are supplied by owner per choice.
