We offer daily care, unlimited hay, and clean stalls for your horse. We use kiln dried pine shavings for bedding on top of rubber stall mats. We also have a multi horse discount and outdoor riding ring and storage for your use. Free trailer parking. We will be starting a very aggressive fly program this spring. We will be treating all horse feed with Solitude IGR. It is a pass through fly control method . It does NOT kill adult flies, but when eggs are laid in the treated manure the larva do not develop properly and they die. It has been proven safe and effective. So this year All the manure will be a fly attractant/killer. I have small pens near the barn for daily turnout/ even 24/7 when they can't be in the meadows depending on the weather. Enables me to much better manage the meadows. I manage the meadows with first priority being ensuring healthy grass. I will turnout horses on grass as much as possible. However if your horse must be limited on grass that is no problem. We grow our own hay--so I know what I am feeding! However we want all boarders to supply any grain/sweetfeed they want because everybody wants something different. Hay and grain are fed twice a day in the summer and three times a day in the winter months. Daily turn out. We offer blanketing at no extra charge and have regularly scheduled farrier, veterinary, dental and worming. Clients have access to both indoor and outdoor lighted rings and round pen, as well as 33 acres of private trails with 50+ acres behind the property to ride. Special events for clients, such as bonfires and BBQ's, are held often. Boarders have access to the trainer everyday for any needs or questions that may arise with their horse. Private tack room available with cross ties and stall ties for boarders. We are a laid back facility specializing in competitive trail, western, english and dressage. Trainer also works in confidence building with people and horses involved in riding accidents. Professional competitive trail obstacle course being built on property this spring/summer. Hickory Ridge Farm will be taking reservations to board starting December 1st. This beautiful facility has it all! Located in Dallastown, PA, conveniently right near I-83 and York County, and walking distance to Spring Valley Park. There are miles of trails throughout the property and surrounding areas, with plans of putting optional cross country fences throughout them in the near future. Huge pastures with mares and geldings separated, and small herd turnout. In the process of designing cross country courses throughout large fields, with fences suited for any level rider/horse. Huge 12x12 and 12x14 matted stalls, two large hot/cold water wash stalls with racks, and very large tack room as a separate building. Tack room has furniture for lounging and a bathroom for only boarders/boarders guests to use at their convenience. The large 100x200 outdoor arena is in the process of being designed/built, and will have a mixture of soft sand/rubber footing. There are multiple farms within walking distance with indoor arenas, for those days the ring is snow covered. Horses will be fed twice daily, with all supplements and medicine administrations, blanketing etc. included in boarding price. With 15+ years of equine experience, your horse will be receiving exceptional care.
