Graystone provide the highest quality lessons, training, and care offered in the Northeast Ohio area. Services include boarding, training hunters/jumpers, public riding lessons, showing on USHJA/USEF "A" circuit and local OPHA schooling shows, and horse sales and leasing. Our training programs are customized to meet the horse's and rider's needs. For our lesson program we have horses that can accommodate all ages and levels of riding and will give you the tools to succeed in this sport. We are located at Red Hawk Stables which offers a large indoor riding ring with new footing added in 2015, heated viewing room and lounge, restrooms, tack room with lockers, wifi, large lighted outdoor sand ring, access to trails on the property, open and airy 12X12 matted stalls with window, heated wash rack with hot/cold water, large pastures, and staff that lives on the property. Durkee Hill Stables is a newly renovated 19 stall facility with 10 lush grass pastures, all weather turnouts, an all weather riding arena, cross country schooling course and miles of trails. Lana purchased the neighboring property to increase turnout and expand the useable space for her horses and riders. The views are gorgeous and the atmosphere of Durkee Hill Stables makes it a place that you want to spend time at.

Lana likes to take advantage of the many amenities around the farm. She regularly takes her horses and students cross country schooling at several local cross country courses. We offer boarding,training and lessons on your horse or a school horse. Our scenic location allows for easy access to major highways. Students have the opportunity to compete in Dressage, eventing and hunter/jumpers or just relax on nearby trails. We approach the welfare of horses and riders in a holistic fashion, treating each as an individual. With an emphasis on correct biomechanics for both the human and equine, we strive to educate riders on how control and awareness of their body allows for high quality movement and clearer communication between rider and horse, as well as an increase in the quality of their daily life. Unmounted lessons for riders are offered using exercises from Pilates, Yoga, Feldenkrais and the Alexander technique. Lessons can be video taped for review with the instructor right on the property. Settled on 20 acres in Granger Township, we are close to all major highways for easy access from Cleveland, Akron, and surrounding areas. Our facility has 16 stalls, a large 120 x 65 indoor riding arena with Athletex footing, wash rack, lounge, and individual tack lockers. Horses enjoy 6 large grass pastures, with Ramm Flex Fencing. Full care board includes stall cleaning and turn out 6 days a week.

*Note - we have moved into our own private facility, so address has changed as of June 2013*. Due to exceptionally high demand, stall availability is extremely limited at our 22 stall facility, but they do occasionally open up especially for first time horse owners which we are very happy to help.
At our stables we can offer, training, breaking and hour long private lessons. We own a 34 acre property, 29 acres of which is wooded, has several streams and many trails. We also do offer trailering to the local metro parks, especially to the Hinckley Bridle trails less than a mile away. During hunt season we also trailer to Foxhunting fixtures (subject to both horse and rider capabilities). Unlike most stables in the area, we do not have hidden charges such as for blanketing, turnout, or holding for the vet and farriers. The owner and trainer lives on property.
