New Horizons Farm LLC, home of New Horizons Haflinger Sporthorses on ten beautiful acres in Bath, Michigan, just outside of East Lansing is a private breeding farm which averages nine horses on premises including boarder horses. Stall board and pasture board available. Pasture horses have use of a stall during severe weather. Conveniently located just 3 1/2 miles off of Interstate 69 (Bath exit) on 1/2 mile stretch of paved road. Owner lives on premises and has over twenty years experience breeding, raising, showing horses. Multiple paddocks and pastures of varying sizes to meet your horse's needs, some with three and four board fence and others with coated wire/electric, almost all with large run in three sided sheds. Winter paddocks have extra large/extra tall 24 x 12 three sided steel run in sheds and access to automatic heated waterers. Ten stall horse barn with insulated roof has six 12 x 12 spacious, bright, matted stalls with large windows and four @10 x 12 stalls with windows that easily convert into double stalls for foaling. Attached 18 x 32 heated two story addition has tack/lounge area with a keuring coffee maker for those cold days, microwave and small refridgerator downstairs, and bedroom (for foaling season)/office upstairs. Outdoor wash rack. Horse friendly community with miles of dirt roads to ride on, or trailer your horse to Rose Lake riding trails just a few miles away, or Sleepy Hollow State Park riding trails about ten minutes away. Only twenty minutes from MSU, excellent farrier and vet services available. Spacious 60 x 110 indoor arena with excellent footing (2NS sand over limestone fines, compacted) treated for dust. Free horse trailer parking. Outdoor grass arena is approximately 70 x 200 with old footing from indoor under grass. Most paddocks and outdoor arena tiled for drainage so they stay dry. Excellent quality grass (or grass/alfalfa mix) hay fed. Tribute Essential K and owner provided grain and supplements fed. Perfect situation for the right people looking for drama-free environment with great boarders. References available from our clients and references required of new clients. Pelleted bedding used in stalls except mare and foal stalls, which use straw at foaling time. No stallions, but mares and geldings welcome, including pregnant mares. Also a great situation if you are looking for a safe place to retire your horse. Horses turned out in small groups or private turnout possible. All horses receive top-notch individualized care. 44 top-of-the-line European style stalls, half of them with attached turnouts, Our staff is some of the best in the business and has worked closely with veterinarians, nutritionist, builders, and horsemen to ensure top quality care for your horse. 2 large indoor arenas, 1 indoor round pen, heated indoor wash racks, 2 large tack rooms with a washer /dryer and a downstairs lounge (mud room). Upstairs, you will be able to sit in comfort in our large lounge, which will include all of your usual kitchen amenities, Wi-Fi internet, indoor elevated bleachers, a class room, a bunk-bed room with attached bathroom and shower. A “cat walk” type balcony attaches to the upstairs lounge allowing you to walk out and look above the stalls and indoor riding areas. We are a small barn located in berrien county! Both of our main care takers live on-site 24/7. We have large spacious stalls with personal run outs through Dutch doors! Both care takers have been around and handling horses their whole lives. We are located 10 minutes away from the Berrien County fair grounds! We are open to working with outside trainers for our boarders. We have a large indoor arena, cross ties, beautiful trails, jump set ups, barrels, trot poles, a seasonal cross country course, tack room space, a wash stall, and two ponds to view on the trails. We provide hay that is freshly cut each season on the property, we provide basic grain and owners can bring their own, we are a partial care facility but full care is an ad on. We do have many additional services to go with board if the owner chooses, for example, hand walking, lunging, riding, grooming/ bathing (daily or that day), arena rental for groups or lessons, trailer parking warm and cold seasons, daily private turn out.
