We are a full service boarding facility on a gorgeous 15 acres. We offer stall boarding or pasture boarding. We are located on the beautiful Eastern Shore in Warwick, MD. This is a quiet and peaceful farm with lots of Love for all animals! We have a large indoor sand arena and a round pen great for doing lunge work. Arena Rental is available for groups or just for solo riders that need to get out of the weather. We live on a no outlet road which makes it nice if you want to take an adventure and ride down to the circle at the end of our street you can do so. We live on the property and care for every horse like they are our own. We are licensed and fully insured . Our farm is surrounded by other farms with the most beautiful settings. We have a few stalls available at this time and plenty of pasture space. We offer lots of TLC here and live on the premises, where all horse and ponies are checked on multiple times a day. Welcome to Merkel Farms, a family owned and operated equestrian center run by Stephanie Serenati-Merkel. Merkel Farm is nestled between Bowie State University and the Patuxent Wildlife Preserve in Bowie, MD and is within easy reach from the Washington D.C., Annapolis and Baltimore metro areas. We have miles of trails surrounding the property. We also have a lighted indoor and outdoor ring which allows for boarders and lesson students to ride year round. We have two barns and two separately fenced fields for turnout. The outdoor and indoor rings are dragged throughout the year to maintain optimal footing for horses. Merkel Farms also runs a summer camp and host a winter show series.

The farm is less than 1 mile away from Walmart Shopping Center, 3 miles away from Bowie Town Center, less than 20 minutes driving distance to Annapolis, about 30 minutes to Fort Meade, less than 40 minutes driving distance to Washington DC and about 45 minutes to Baltimore. You can also take New Carrollton Amtrak, or Green Belt metro station to Washington DC or many other places. To New Carrollton Amtrak metro stations is less 20 minutes driving, and about 35 minutes to the Green Belt one.
