Our horse boarding facility offers a lovely and peaceful environment for both you and your horse. We are a small gaited private facility. We offer 24 hour turnout on lovely grass pastures with small numbers of horses on each pasture. We have a beautifully sited outdoor full size dressage arena with all weather synthetic footing. We also have a lovely WE or Working Equitation course. The WE obstacle course is designed for anyone that would like to teach their horse how to navigate trails, a dressage test, or a jump course and uses classical principles to do so. It is an extremely effective way to build confidence for riders and horses. WE is a very old sport in Europe and quickly gaining popularity in the states. Besides being a challenge to horses and riders, it's just plain fun! We also have a 50' round pen and numerous trails both on and off the property so there is no need to trailer your horse every time a trail ride is desired. This property is part of the original Woodford Hunt and boasts lovely land for a ride around the beautiful hills of Woodford County. Our tack room features individual lockers to keep you tack clean and safe. Our tack room is also heated during the winter months.

The Owner/Trainer lives on the premises and has a clear view of every pasture from the residence, so you can be assured that your horse is safe and cared for by an experienced professional.

Our riding program focusses on centered, balanced riding from beginning to advanced students of all disciplines. We have talented horses available for lease to serious students. Are you looking for a more natural self-care boarding situation for your horse, but not full pasture board? We are a small horse boarding farm on a scenic 20-acre property in the Fern Creek/Floyds Fork area in Louisville. All horses have access to stalls in a barn that open onto state-of-the-art dry-lots. Daily turn out in grass paddocks alone or with other horses as weather, pasture condition and the horse's needs allow. The dry-lots allow horses to be outdoors as much as they want and be more sociable and mobile rather than standing in stalls most of the time. Stalls are part of either of two larger barns and have rubber mats and electricity for fans in summer and heated buckets in winter. There is storage for tack, feed, hay in both barns and space for trailer parking.

120' x 60' outdoor arena, round pen, trail obstacles for training and a trail around the fields and through woodlands on the property. We work cooperatively with horse owners for happy, healthy horses and provide an alternative for owners who prefer that their horses are not confined to a stall most of the time. Owners are veterinarians and incorporate their knowledge and training into keeping healthy and well-taken care of animals. This includes the feeding of only high quality hay and concentrate, and keeping the farm well maintained to decrease the chances of horses getting injured.

New Vista Farm is a small, semi-private boarding facility specializing in providing quality care for your horse(s) in a fun, friendly and stress-free environment. We accommodate approximately six horses on our property so each horse and owner receive individualized, personal attention. We offer roomy 12x12 stalls, each with an exterior window. Concrete center aisle. Indoor wash rack with hot/cold and an outdoor wash rack, indoor heated restroom with shower and a spacious tack room. The well maintained arena is approx 198' x 145' with a full size dressage area and a separate jumping area. All horses are on a mandatory quarterly de-worming rotation schedule and must be up to date on all vaccinations with current negative Coggins tests. We offer lessons specializing in Dressage and Jumpers and training services or, you're welcome to bring your own instructor or trainer.

The only board program I offer at this time is Self Care which includes the use of all facility amenities, including covered hay storeage area, feed room and tack room plus paddock. $300 per month self care, paddock only. Self care with stall and paddock is $400. Owner provides own feed and bedding and if renting a stall, is responsible for cleaning the stall on a regular basis. Owner can provide their own hay or buy from me at cost. I'll also be willing to work with boarders to fill in during feeding times when they are unable to do so.

A walk out basement apartment is available for one boarder also. (The apartment is currently rented and unavailable at this time). The apartment is a little less than 600 sf with a full kitchen (stove, double sink, refrigerator, microwave and lots of cabinet space and bar stool seating at the kitchen peninsula. Large bedroom with wardrobe and closet. Smaller living room. Apartment rent is $800/month and includes all utilities, wi-fi connection and access to farm dumpster for garbage removal.
