We provide a variety of services here at The Rocking L Ranch. We are a Full Board Facility located on 20 acres secluded from any neighboring parcels in a one mile radius. There is a 5 acre private lake that offers a serene view, two barns with a total of 15 stalls, two wash racks, a lighted 250X120' arena, a lighted 60' round pen. Stalls sizes range from 10X10 with shared tack rooms or 12X12 stalls with private tack rooms. Stalls have wrought iron fronts and gates with swing out feeder gates. Monthly pest control. Included in the boarding prices is daily turn-in-out, farrier service (shoes not included), 8 week De-wormer provided, weekly De-sanding, Quality Feed and hay provided twice daily and daily stall maintenance.
We also offer The Ranch Rider Program for beginner through advanced students that do not own their own horses. We offer private lessons, trail rides, birthday parties and summer camps. We are a show facility specializing in game shows and trail obstacle competitions. A-to-Z Riding School is located at Simple Pleasures Stables, in Cocoa, Florida. The school is owned and operated by Patricia Woodrow. Pat is a Certified Riding Instructor, a United States Dressage Federation (USDF) "L" Judge and USDF Bronze Medalist. Born in Paris, France, Pat has a strong family background in the equestrian arts. Pat has trained all over Europe, including England, Spain, France, and Holland.

Pat's extensive training from the best in the field has allowed her to pass her broad experience on to her students. Her teaching philosophy first involves understanding the horse's needs and mind-set. Only then can she work together with the student to ask for maximum performance from the horse.

Pat teaches a broad range of equestian techniques: English, Western, Dressage/Equitation, and Jumping. School horses are available for all riding levels and disciplines. In addition, Pat also works with special needs riders.

Flatwoods Farm is a small, family-orientated and private facility in Grant, FL. We are a licensed and insured animal care facility, offering full board and horseback riding lessons. We are located on 6.5 acres with immediate access to 2,500 acres of trails, and just a short drive to the Sebastian River State Preserve and one of the few beaches in Florida that allows horseback riding. Flatwoods Farm is a nature lover's paradise. The family-feel, immediate trail access, and exquisite native flora and fauna make Flatwoods Farm one of the most unique boarding facilities in Brevard County. We have the amenities for those who love to train and compete, but we also cater to those who live for a leisurely hack on the trails.

Flatwoods Farm is located in the pine flatwoods and Florida scrub ecosystems. We are not far from the Indian River Lagoon. Some wildlife that can be seen on our property and local trails include but are not limited to: white tailed deer, red tailed hawks, osprey, bald eagles, scrub jays, sandhill cranes, herons and storks, gopher tortoises, box turtles, bobcats, coyotes, snakes, pigs and more! Some species are rare to see in the wild and some are endemic to Central Florida (meaning this is the only place you will see them!).

About the owner: My name is Jackie. I was born and raised in Palm Bay, FL. I grew up volunteering for a horse rescue throughout middle and high school, and riding the local trails. Upon graduating high school in 2011, I was gifted my dream horse (rescue) Spirit. I was fortunate enough to take him to college with me. I attended the University of Central Florida where I studied Biology and competed on the school's equestrian team. While in school I worked as a horseback riding instructor in Orlando, teaching beginner and intermediate lessons to both children and adults. I taught both English and Western basics, but most of my riding experience is Western including horsemanship, reining, trail, pleasure, and speed events. Upon graduating in 2015, I moved back home to Palm Bay and worked for Brevard County as a Park Ranger, and later as an Inspector for Mosquito Control. I now work for Spalding Laboratories, a leader of biological fly control in the agricultural industry. I started Flatwoods Farm in 2018 to continue my passion for horses, nature, and teaching; and to finally have my heart horse, Spirit, at home. In 2023 I decided to further my education by becoming a certified Equine First-Aid Instructor, and expanded my business to include Equine First Aid classes. Each of the ten 12X12 stalls are equipped with a closable back window, rubber mats, automatic waters, stall light, show light, fans and grain & hay wall feeders. The facility also offers a security gate entrance, 70ft round pen, riding arena, wash racks, air-conditioned tack room, clay arena, asphalt paving for parking and 3-large turn out pastures. A separate clubhouse with a full bathroom, kitchen and laundry room has recently been renovated.

Board includes am & pm feedings of Purina feed and T&A hay, DAC digestive enzymes, de-worming, sand clear, shavings, blanketing, turn out and vet & farrier attendance.

Barn manger, instructor and trainer Jennifer Prestin lives on premises. She offers lessons and trains in all disciples, such as jumper, equitation, showmanship, horsemanship, HUS and western pleasure. . . .
