Horse Boarding in Weogufka, Alabama (Coosa County)

We currently offer the only public boarding facility with a COVERED ARENA in Lee County, AL. This allows our scheduled events to take place no matter what the weather brings, and it allows our clients to ride in suboptimal weather. Ours is a full service equestrian facility for beginners to the experienced show person. We encourage variety and expect acceptance at this facility as we welcome all disciplines. We offer two outdoor arenas, one for all-purpose use, and a jumping arena with a complete course. Both pasture and full board are available, though our number of pasture board spots stays limited and are filled on a first come first served basis. Our turnout paddocks all offer shelters. We have some super lesson ponies and horses, all of whom are available for 1/2 or full on-site lease, and even sale. Our facility is fairly new, with newly matted 12 x 12 stalls. All boarders have access to a secure tack room, 2 grooming, and 2 wash stalls with H/C water. We have a roundpen with sand footing. Full boarders are turned out in small groups of 2-4 horses. The facility offers two double stalls for long term convalescence or foaling purposes. We accept a limited number of outside horses for purposes of natural boarding, founder/laminitis prevention, and hoof rehabilitation. Please see our website for additional information. We feed Timothy/Orchard hay to full board horses while in, and offer Bahia /bermuda mix round bales to our pasture board horses when grass is scant. We feed Southern States feeds.

Small barn with 6 stalls offering horse boarding. Horses are stalled and turned out daily (day or night) if desired, weather permitting. Current boarders include show horses along with trail horses. Stalls have rubber mats, lights with timers to ensure those slick hair coats year round, high velocity fans, and a fly misting system. Hot water wash stall, coastal bermuda hay and premium grain fed twice daily, large stalls, customized turnout in multiple pastures to meet your needs, day or night on lush established pastures. Rye grass planted in winter for winter grazing. Riding arena with sand footing which drains quickly, as well as trails. Tack room has dehumidifier, along with individual cabinets provided for personal horse supply storage. Comfortable lounge seating area with refrigerator stocked with water, Gatorade and refreshments included with board. Barn washing machine for blankets, pads, polos & misc. Daily Blanketing as weather requires. Horses are fly sprayed daily before turnout. Primary discipline is Reining, Western Dressage & Ranch Riding, but all are welcome. Batton Creek Farms provides pasture board for your horse. We have 2 optional outdoor paddocks available at a slightly higher rate. Our services are basic and not geared for highly competitive athletes. However we provide detailed service and care for your horse.

Located just 3 1/2 miles off exit 1 in McCalla, you will find approx. 30 acres of pasture with excellent grass year round and a spring fed pond with two streams that run year round for your equine friends to enjoy. Our seven year old barn has electricity, running water, secure tack storage, feed room, lighted and covered hay storage, PJ the barn mouser, and wash rack. We offer free trailer storage and have a lighted round pen. We recently renovated an older motorhome and parked it near the barn for your convenience if you need to watch a sick or injured horse, or if you just want to spend the night for whatever reason.
