My name is Rhonda Falk. Even as a child, horses have always been a huge passion in my life. I began my riding career at the age of 5 years old. Growing up riding and showing in Northern Virginia horse country. Attended Radford University with her horse and majoring in Business Administration and Equestrian Instructional Certification. She moved to Texas in 1989 and owned/operated a 20 stall boarding/training facility. Always remains active in the North Texas Hunter/Jumper Club and Dallas Scholarship Hunter/Jumper Circuit.

Presently, working with beginner to intermediate students at Starline Stables and Showpark Stables.

Hogany Tops has openings in our lesson and training programs and we would love to help you excel in your riding, whether it is for competition or pleasure, or to help you with your green horse/pony or your made up horse/pony continuing to improve! We teach and train at our facility or we can come to yours.

Hogany Tops Farm is a hunter jumper training and lesson barn located just outside of Dallas, TX In beautiful Edgewood. HTF is dedicated to establishing superior horsemanship with physically fit, willing and content, well trained horses and riders. Accordingly, a consistent training routine and at least a minimum lesson program are pertinent to accomplish this goal. Training and instruction, specializing in hunters, jumpers and equitation are designed with the horse and rider in mind and customized to fit each one’s individual abilities and objectives to reach their full potential. We focus on correct equitation in the jumpers as well as the hunters. All good riding is based on dressage as a foundation. Hours spent on the flat ultimately produce a fluid ride over fences in the hunters and an accurate and powerful ride occurring in a timely fashion in the jumpers.
All levels of riders, beginner through advanced are welcome in our lesson program. We have wonderful lesson horses and ponies for those who do not have one! HTF provides the opportunity to horse show at both local and national competitions. Hogany Tops Farm offers quality horses and ponies for sale or lease.
Hogany Tops Farm originated in 1985 in Macon, Georgia. The business is owned and operated by Jo Beard, who was born, raised and educated in Virginia. Her love for and association with horses began at an early age, in the family barn, which at the age of eight led her to horse shows and fox hunts with her father. Her journey with horses continued to the professional level when at the age of 18 she was schooling, training, and showing horses and ponies and catch-riding at horse shows. After college, her professional focus centered on hunters and jumpers and as she developed her own riding skills, she became involved in the sport of steeplechase racing and took that to a highly successful professional level as one of two licensed female steeplechase jockeys in the United States. She has subsequently trained and owned hundreds of show horses and has consistently been successfully involved in both local and national horse show competition. Today, her focus is on the interest of her clients and their goals and aspirations. She has the experience (over 40 years of teaching all levels), and the skills and patience to take them where they want to go. Both Jo’s children and grandchildren are very successful and well-known in the hunter jumper world! Jo’s extensive experience in the industry has created a wide network of friends and professional associates nationwide. Referrals will be gladly given upon request.

With international training, over 20 years of riding experience, and professional experience in a multitude of english disciplines Stephanie is ready to help you with your equine needs. Her training which started in hunter/jumpers and fox hunters was furthered when she went to Europe to train with some of the top riders in show jumping today. She follows the European example of training a horse through the levels as the horse dictates, steady and correct the first time without any gimmicks or quick fixes, just correct technique. The effects of proper training lasts a lifetime, unfortunately so do the effects of improper training, therefore her theory is to do it right the first time rather than be constantly trying to fix problems that could have been avoided. She believes the best foundation a horse or rider can get regardless of their riding discipline is one with the basics of dressage. She has studied under a grand prix dressage rider in order to more effectively train both horse and rider.
