Eagles' Wings is a faith-based nonprofit working with girls ages 11 – 18 years in the Eastern Panhandle of WV (encompassing 3 counties) as well as four states: Maryland, Virginia and Pennsylvania using horses and teaching the horse language as intervention and prevention services. Windridge Farm, located on 60 lush green acres, offers a fun and educational summer camp with a hands on opportunity to learn all aspects of horsemanship while making friends and meeting our ponies and horses. Our camp counselors and helpers are true horse lovers and well informed & experienced horse people. We specialize in having a great time in horse camp!

Includes:
​A daily lesson with a certified instructor
Learning to tack up, untack, groom, feed and bathe a horse
Review anatomy, care, nutrition and more through fun games, activities and crafts

Want to keep riding after summer camp? We offer year round lessons in our outside arena and two indoor arenas!

Do you have an interest in horses, but not a lot of experience handling or being around them? Or maybe you want to build a closer bond with your horse? Magic Meadows is a small, private horse boarding farm located East of I-75 in beautiful Sarasota. We offer private lessons for adults or kids who are looking for a safe introduction to the wonderful world of horses. Our approach is unique - this is not a typical horse camp - we teach the basics in an in-depth, practical way in order to give you the best foundation for working with horses. Too often, the basics are glossed over or discarded once riding lessons begin, but we believe the basics (communication, intention, grooming, groundwork, etc.) should be a daily practice and is how the bond deepens. If you already have horse experience, this can help refine your everyday skills or achieve results like never before. Most horse camps offer riding lessons - we do not - we focus on the basics from the ground that lead to success in the saddle (and we have referrals for great trainers in the area).

Some of the topics covered include: horse/human psychology, safely grooming and maneuvering horses on the ground, techniques for handling fear, how to teach a horse something new (or change a habit), and how to prepare for horse ownership, etc.

Each 1 hour session builds into the next, with the final goal of building calm confidence in the company of a horse. If there is something specific you want to do (or not do), work on, or experience - we can tailor the session to your needs and desires if possible. Just ask!

We love to share our love for horses, as well as the peaceful environment here at Magic Meadows. Looking for western horse camps for kids near Fort Collins or Wellington? I run a large youth program, including kids' spring & summer camps over school breaks.

All camps run Mon-Fri 9am-2pm with early drop-off & late pick-up available
Fridays feature an in-house show/competition with pizza for lunch!
$100/day, $170/day total for 2 siblings (select sibling add-on while signing up)
We provide horses, helmets, & tack, but students are also invited to haul-in their personal horses.

Level I camps are split into age groups for junior riders (ages 6-9, who are potty-trained) and youth riders (ages 10-16). They are suitable for new riders & students who are already riding, but not yet independently loping. Level I camps will cover catching, grooming, & saddling. Students will independently ride walk/trot (with some loping for those who are ready). Students will get on-property exposure to a range of riding disciplines, including trail/obstacles and intro to western show & gymkhana events. Fridays feature an in-house western show/gymkhana competition, along with free pizza for lunch!

Level II is for youth riders (ages 10-16) who are comfortable loping (not for new students). Level II camps will include hauling off-property to local trails, prepping for western shows (pleasure, reining, ranch riding), and practicing for gymkhana events. (Handy kids slightly above & below this age range will be happily considered.) Fridays feature an in-house western show/gymkhana competition, along with free pizza for lunch!

For over 20 years, the Topeka Round-Up Club’s Horse N Around Summer Camp has been teaching kids horse safety, western riding, horsemanship, identification, anatomy, breeds, and so much more! Our intensive five-day program is jam packed with riding, horse care, outdoor adventures, field trips(optional), special guests, and lots of learning about horses.
