Horse Camps in Easley, South Carolina (Pickens County)

Horseback camp is divided into two periods that equate to a 9:00am-4:00pm schedule. Mornings are spent at the stables, where campers have the opportunity to learn horsemanship skills and have a riding lesson. Later in the afternoon, campers return to the campus where they can enjoy the other many diverse activities of our Junior Discovery and Teen Exploration programs.

No experience with horses is needed. Riders will be learning how to walk, trot, steer, and jump small jumps while riding in groups. This will be with or without assistance depending on the level of the rider. Students should not expect to do any canter work. Activities are introductory to horses and focus on having fun with the basics.

Campers in our horseback program receive a riding lesson each day until Friday when they have an opportunity to display those skills for parents in our “riding show.” At the show, campers receive ribbons for their performances as well as a certificate indicating their level. The show is also designed as an opportunity for parents to meet with their children’s instructors.

Summer horsemanship day camps in June! All ages and ranges of experience. One camp session is reserved for adults only. Camp activities are tailored to the comfort levels of each week's participants. We emphasize a practical, hands-on approach. Students ride every day.
