Horse Camps in Terre Haute, Indiana (Vigo County)

Sign up for our 2018 summer camp program and get a $25 discount as a NewHorse.com user. Learn basic horsemanship, horse care and enjoy horse-themed crafts. Camps run from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m, Dates are June 18-22; June 25-29th. Tiny Tot Camp for 4-6 year olds is July 9-11 9a-12p.

The Trinity Farm gang has been involved with riding and horses as students for over 20 years and as horse owners for almost as long. We moved to our 8.5 acres in August 2005 to fulfill a dream of owning our own place to raise, ride, train, and share the joy that our equine family has brought to us.

Safety is of utmost concern whenever involved with these large animals. All campers will be guided and supervised in proper behavior while around horses.
Children will have daily mounted lessons and will be required to wear a helmet, long pants and firm soled shoes. Proper safety around all of our farm animals will be stressed. Our goal is to share our farm and have fun learning about and loving horses. Summer and Fall campers will need to bring a sack lunch and drinks for the day. (Lunch will be provided at Adult Camp.) PALS is a nonprofit therapeutic riding center located in Bloomington, IN. We provide therapeutic horseback riding & unmounted equine activities to people with disabilities, veterans, and at-risk youth. The therapeutic power of the horse can offer many physical, emotional and social benefits for a diverse population. As a PATH Intl. Premier-Accredited center, all programs are designed to be individualized and safe.

We also offer an inclusive summer camp for youth is designed for children of all ages, abilities and backgrounds! Campers will ride two times a day, learn different disciplines, how to groom and tack-up their horses, along with basic horse care. Campers will get a chance to bond with their horses and create friendships with fellow campers. Our camp has 8 miles of trails. We have 20 covered stalls with lights and 20 parking spaces with electric. We have 5 corals that go with primitive parking (you are welcome to bring your own fenceing) We have a shelter house with fire place and a kitchen for meals on scheduled rides.
We have modern bathrooms and showers and a large 50 foot round pen for your use. Also an obstacle course is at camp. You must call for reservations. We have no dump and you must fill your tanks in campers before leaving home as we don't do that at camp. Horse Day Camps for kids 6yo and up, with more advanced work available for more advanced students. Horses and equipment provided - or use your own! Campers get REAL hands on learning with horses and barn chores. Students will lead, groom, and saddle their own horse before riding each day. While riding students work at their own pace. Learning how to feed, bathe, clean stalls, and etc is included for a full horsemanship education. Educational workbooks, games, and arts-n-crafts round out each day on the farm. There is an air-conditioned barn to escape the heat and an indoor arena for all weather use. Each summer, we offer a horseback riding camp for children ages 5-13. The camp focuses on riding lessons with a qualified instructor, learning how to properly care for a horse (i.e. grooming, feeding, bathing, etc.), arts & crafts, horse-related activities, and outdoor swimming.

Camps for Summer 2011 are the weeks of:
- July 11-15
- July 18-22
- July 25-29

Camps run from 9AM to 2PM Monday through Friday, with a horse show on Friday afternoon for parents to see what their children have learned at camp.
