Natural, barefoot trimming is a partnership between the trimmer, owner and their horse. The barefoot trimming technique encourages each horse to grow a strong healthy hoof. Barefoot trimmers, without the use of shoes, enable horses to grow a well connected hoof wall, strong frogs and soles, all which lead to strong internal hoof structures, better balance and great form and function!
Barefoot trimmers have successfully helped horses diagnosed with common hoof ailments such as Navicular and Laminitis, return to soundness.
The form and function of a healthy hoof is built on more than just a proper barefoot trim....diet and lifestyle is just as important. With years of horse experience, I know the saying "No Hoof then No Horse." I am a naturally hoof care provider using a trimming method based off natural hooves and their naturally shaped hooves. Each hoof is trimmed according to its own unique size, shape and proportion. We simulate the natural wear hooves would see if the horses were running wild and free over acres of land!
