Pony Gang Riding Academy is a small family run horseback riding school and located in Hopkins, South Carolina on the beautiful 28 acres large Pony Gang Farm. Our Riding Academy combines horseback riding training (English and Western) with horsemanship classes. The Horseback riding school is situated in a quiet, pastoral setting; warm and welcoming, so that it simply feels like home. Our primary focus is on teaching, training and learning. Pony Gang Equestrian services is a real special place: for caring, for sharing, for teaching and learning. Our team strives to create an intimate, down-to-earth atmosphere where personal attention is our hallmark and riders of all ages, you and adults alike, always feel at home. Our safe and well-schooled lessons horses are perfect for the inexperienced riders just starting out, or the active enthusiasts striving to attain the next level in their riding.

My business is close to Msla and boasts a beautiful 80x120 indoor arena, a large colorful jump field, reliable lesson horses/ponies and lessons tailored to your riding level/personal goals. If you have your own horse and trailer you can haul to my place or I can meet you at our lovely local equestrian park, The Big Sky Horse Park.
I teach both English and Western to riders of all ages and all levels. My strengths are in the jumping arena. I really enjoy teaching young horses and riders to jump! I also have lots of experience with the basics and am always happy to pass on my knowledge!
If you have a horse you are uncomfortable trial riding I would be excited to help educate you both and build your confidence! I take clients in my lesson program trail riding in small groups(total of 4 riders including myself) so we can trot on the trails! We go for an hour and a half and students are welcome to be much more involved than just riding on the trail. They can help with catching the horses, loading the tack and the horses, grooming, tacking up and unsaddling and of course giving treats!

We strive to meet the lesson goals of all of our students no matter your age or experience so that you can reach your highest potential and achieve your riding goals. This program is tailored to the individual even within a semi-private lesson environment. Most lessons are individualized, but there are some semi-private lessons available. Lessons are designed to teach students the fundamentals of horsemanship and care, and progress forward as their abilities develop. Ascend Equestrian was founded on the principle of family, friends, and providing a safe environment in which to learn and have fun. We focus on building a well-rounded horseperson by not only teaching students to ride, but also providing lessons in horsemanship, sportsmanship and showmanship. It is with this focus that we build successful riders who are competitive both at the local and national levels and contenders at national finals year after year.

Ascend Equestrian offers a comprehensive lesson program for children and adults ages 6 and up, from beginner to advanced levels. Our lesson program features small classes with no more than four riders in a lesson at a time, scheduled according to age and level, providing individualized quality instruction for all riders. In order to provide a safe environment that is conducive to learning, there are never more than five clients riding in the arena at a time, a feature that is unique to our training program.

Beginner riders start off in a private lesson to learn the basics of steering, controls, and position, before progressing to a semi-private lesson. Lessons are grouped according to level, age and height jumping in order to maximize progress.

Our lesson times are as follows:

Private Lessons- 30 minutes
Semi Private with 2 riders- 45 minutes
Semi Private with 3-4 riders- 1 hour

In addition to time spent in the saddle, riders should plan to spend an additional 30-45 minutes before their lesson and 30 minutes to an hour after their lesson grooming, tacking, bathing, grazing, and caring for their horses. Initially, this process will be guided by one of our instructors or working students, with the goal of creating independent knowledgeable horsewomen and men who can care for their own mounts.

We offer several safe, quality school horses of all sizes, skills, and levels from beginner to advanced. We treat our school horses like our top show horses, providing for the best possible experience for our riders on horses that are happy, healthy and ready to perform their best for their lessons. Our school horses are never ridden more than 5 days per week and not more than once per day and have access to the same top care provided to our show horses.

We invite new clients to schedule an evaluation lesson to meet our horses and instructors and learn just how fabulous our lesson program is. This evaluation lesson also serves as an opportunity for our trainers to assess our new clients’ riding and ensure that we can provide the best possible horse and lesson suitable to their needs and goals. After the initial evaluation lesson, riders are required to sign up for a minimum of one lesson per week in order to continue in our program.

McNally Show Horses offers full training board and riding lessons for adults and children age 4 and older. Our 20 acre facility has outdoor riding areas and a large covered riding ring to stay out of the Florida heat and rain. We have large turnout pastures for all our horses to enjoy being horses! My experience extends beyond coaching and training. I was the Founder and Director of an equine non-profit called "Ponies and Kids." I ran successful lesson, showing, camp, and outreach programs in West Lafayette, Indiana.

After several rewarding years in retirement, during which I've had the joy of helping raise my grandchildren, I find myself drawn back to a long-standing passion of mine. My fulfillment from family life is immense, but I can no longer ignore the persistent calling to return to my chosen vocation of teaching children, young adults, and adults how to care for and ride a horse.
