Located in Smoky Lake, AB. James Staveley is certified AFA CF, and BWFA Certified Journeyman 1 and has been working professionally with horses for 15 years, and as a full time farrier for 13. He has experience with most disciples from combined driving, to working cow horses, to draft breeds, to fox hunters and everything in between. In 2009 and 2010 Bow Valley Forge was a part of the World Equestrian Games and provided services to the competitors starting with the qualifying events, through set-up, the games, and tear down. James provides full service hoofcare addressing overall hoof health, weight balance, and movement issues and he has a broad network of vets and farriers across the country to help with particularly complicated cases. I am based in Edmonton and surrounding areas. I am a Certified Farrier with the American Farriers Association. Specialize in trims, hot shoeing, corrective shoeing and work with all breeds and disciplines.

Location: Sherwood Park, Edmonton, Leduc County, Devon, Tofield, Beaumont, Ryley, St Albert, Sturgeon County, Mundare, Lamont County. Willing to travel to other locations as well.

Background: As a recent graduate from Old’s College Advanced Farrier Science Program I am ready to start up a strong new farrier business in Sherwood Park and the surrounding areas. I have completed a 6 month apprenticeship program as a farrier where I excelled in shoeing and trimming. In addition, I have 6 years of experience working as a barn hand in multiple stables as well as training horses and teaching introductory riding lessons.
