Amy grew up in St. Charles, Illinois so this area has always been “Home”. She started riding when she was 8 years old, and has gone from trail riding and open shows to showing on the Appaloosa Circuit at Regional and National levels.
Prior to selling real estate, Amy worked for a real estate appraisal firm for 12 years as the Office Manager. While she didn’t have her appraisal license, this job gave her invaluable experience as it taught her about appraising; how to choose comparable sales and make adjustments to arrive at a market value. It also taught her how to run a business; administrative duties, customer service, bookkeeping and managing.
Amy obtained her real estate license in 2014 and started selling residential homes. In 2018 she upgraded to a Managing Broker License and decided to focus on Farm & Ranch type properties. That is when her business really grew and she realized this was what she was meant to do.
Recently she formed the “Farm Ranch Team” and her goal is to continue to expand the team, as needed to keep up with demand. Amy is working towards her Accredited Land Consultant (ALC) designation thru Realtors Land Institute (RLI) and plans to expand her listings to include larger parcels of land.
Amy currently resides in Kendall County on the 5 acre farmette that she and her husband, Joe, built in 1996. They currently have Appaloosas, Quarter Horses and cats. She is a member of the National ApHC and Longcreek ApHC, NAR, IAR and RLI.
Amy lives in the type of property she represents and loves it! That’s what drives her passion for her specialization.
