My background: I have been professionally teaching horsemanship for over 20 years and am a former licensed Parelli Professional. I resigned in December 2021 after 10 years of teaching under Pat Parelli's program to pursue teaching horsemanship on my own with a strong focus on helping horses work through trauma and negative behavioral problems. I am also a CHA (Certified Horsemanship Association) instructor and carry a B.S. degree in Equine Science. I can assist with other types of horsemanship coaching from goal setting, preparing to own your first horse and readying for competition.
I travel out to teach natural horsemanship lessons for students who want to learn to use psychology-based techniques instead of force or fear-based methods. I teach kids lessons on my own school horses as well as beginner adult lessons both on the ground and in the saddle. If you have your own horse, I travel out to teach in Central Oregon, mileage fees may apply. Please reach out to me to schedule private lessons, group lessons or clinics. I can accommodate groups up to 10 riders up to 3 days in length.
