Lisa Abernathy will provide quality instruction for beginner through advanced riders in English and Western, or on Gaited Horses.

All Lessons last approximately 1 hour. Private Lessons are $45 and Group Lessons are $35. Cash or Check is accepted. The first lesson is always private so that I can evaluate the riders skill and select an appropriate horse. Once the rider demonstrates proper balance, posture, and riding aides at the walk and trot they may move to a group lesson if available.

Abernathy Farm's lessons are geared toward preparing you for horse ownership. We will teach you how to safely catch, groom, and tack up your horse, in addition to the fundamentals of riding. Abernathy Farm offers adult and youth lessons for ages age 5 and up. Private or Group lessons can also be scheduled. Group lessons consist of 2 to 4 riders. This is perfect for friends, siblings, or parents and children who want to learn how to ride together.

Lesson horses consist of seasoned show or trail horses. These horses are also available for Lease or Showing opportunities.
