Nicole Rose focuses mainly on Positive Reinforcement for both her students and her horses. Not only is Nicole Rose a USEA Certified Trainer and USEF Champion, but she also majored in Equine Science after switching from a major in Veterinary Science in college. Nicole rides and trains because she genuinely loves animals especially horses. Nicole being naturally competitive started competing at a early age and was a Young Rider Champion by the time she was 16. For Nicole teaching and training was just par for the course as natural teacher and leader, but Nicole is not yet close to finished perfecting her craft and does hope to compete on an International/Olympic level some day soon. Lessons/Leases are available on Sterling Rose Stables horses on an ongoing basis depending on each client's personal needs. Sterling Rose Stables has horses of all styles for different clients, Western and Trail horses for some, Cross Training and Three Day Horses for others, Hunters/Equitation types for certain others and hot jumpers for the rest. No one individual horse or person is the same, and instead of trying to force a person or a horse into being something it is not, we find the mold to best suit each! Sterling Rose Stables is a conventional show barn but also caters to non competition type students. We gear ourselves towards all riding enthusiasts who wish to perfect their craft and provide themselves and their horses with a stimulating environment customized for top performance. Each person is different just like each horse and pairing a rider with the correct horse has to be an unbiased decision and varies per each individual; for there is a horse out there for every student. Sterling Rose Stables sets itself apart from most programs because we take the time to find the perfect match, instead of forcing pairs or making our business through having a typical lesson horse factory. Every lesson includes all horsemanship, care, and riding skills needed to ensure success and safety for riders of all ages. The horses that we use for lessons for clients that do not or can not have their own horses are far from ordinary lesson horses. they are all very high quality privately owned horses, in this regard we are special compared to most programs out there. This is why we are so successful competitively and also why the privately owned trail horses in the residential communities are so dependable. Sterling Rose Stables encourages smaller kids as well as greener riders to start out with the Hunters and Equitation types and evolve into Combined Training and Three Day riders and Jumpers if they like. The girls with less need for speed stick to the Hunters and the Equitation and Dressage as well as low level Combined Training. The girls with more speed needs usually end up doing Jumpers or Three Day Eventing. We have some students that do only one style and their horses are more that way, and some that do it all and their horses are geared the same way. Sterling Rose Stables is a small program compared to some others, with a choice group of high quality horses and riders giving us the ability to give more personal attention to each.
