Holdford Horse Farms provides riding instruction for ages 6 through adult. Our goal for each student is to have fun, build confidence, and progress steadily and safely. Students learn to ride in all of the basic gaits: walk, trot or jog, and canter or lope. These skills are then refined to include an understanding of proper balance, collection, extension, and true communication with the horse. As students progress, they are encouraged to learn more about specific disciplines including Hunter Jumper, Dressage, Various Western Classes, and Trail Riding. We can introduce these concepts, and provide advanced training. Every lesson includes learning about horse behavior, handling, and safety.
