Yvonne Mathews has been involved in youth development and the use of horses as teachers for over 25 years in Washington State. She has coached many 4-H youth through their 4-H project as well as mentored aspiring instructors and trainers. Her students have been top ten riders as well as medal riders consistently.
Prior to coaching, Yvonne apprenticed under trainers with various breeds of horses. Most notably, Arabians at Scott Arabians, as well as Paso Finos, At Ranch Paso Bravo, in California. She also worked at Browns Canyon Equestrain center with Kathy Brown as a polo pony exerciser. She has a two year degree in Equine Science and Nutrition, from Pierce College, Ca. and continues her Equine knowledge periodically with judges training and volunteering as ring steward/scribe at local equine shows.
She is a member of USEF, Western Dressage Association, and Lake Washington Saddle Club.
