Forest View Farms offers classes for riders 8 years of
age and older, beginners through advanced,Western and English style.
Lessons are avaiable 7 days a week.

Student between the age of 5 to 7 are eligible for
Pony Lessons.

Class Description

"Mom and Me"- A class for 3, 4 and 5 year old children and
their parent. Interactive lessons.

Pony Class- A class for our junior riders. This class is
teaches basic “Ponymanship”

Beginner- A student that has basic control at the walk and is
learning the posting trot. In this class, basic muscle control
is developed.

Advance Beginner- This is a student who is learning their
diagonals and has good control and form at the posting
trot. At this level the canter is introduced.

Intermediate-Advance- A student must know their
diagonals, be in full control at the trot and beginning canter
before advancing to this class. Skills will be taught at this
level will enable a rider to show.

Beginner Jump- This class is for students desiring to learn
the basics of jumping. A student must be able to walk, trot,
canter and hold a strong two-point position before beginning
this class.

Intermediate-Advanced Jumping- This class is for riders
able to properly balance over a minimum of two foot
fences. Training for the show ring is emphasized in this
class

Dressage-This is the method of learning to co-ordinate
your aids: hands, legs, voice and weight to bring the horse
in unity with you. A student must be able to walk, trot and
canter in control. Exercises such a shoulder-in, flexion, and
extensions are only a few of the principles taught in this
class.

Western Riding- For beginners through advanced, for trail
riders or show, we offer you a program that can take you as
far as you want to go.

Event Class- Designed for those interested in learning the
art of event-ing. The principles of dressage, cross country
and stadium jumping will be taught A rider must be able to
easily jump a 2'6" fence prior to signing up for this class

4-H Member Class- For students 8-19 interested in joining
our 4-H Club, “Forest View Silver Spurs” and becoming
better riders need to call for meeting times.
