Wright Ranch and Rescue / Horse Boarding Farm in Northwood, Iowa

We are a small ranch with big hearts. We have a beautiful ranch, with a conveniant location. We serve North Iowa, and Southern MN. With over 20 years of experience, riding, training and showing, we are the "Wright Ranch" for you and your child.

We offer green pastures and large box stalls for boarder's. We are within riding distance of 2 state parks. One of the state parks has nice groomed horse trails and on-site camping. We have an outdoor arena and hoping to have an indoor arena in the future. We have several boarding options available.

Our riding lesson program are taught by certified instructors. We offer small group lessons, for personalized attention, and private lessons. We teach English and Western riding. We also offer driving lessons.

We have several weeks of camps when school is out. Each camp has a theme for the week, and different activities. The camps are full of fun, friends and good times. And of course horse activities for the horse loving child in your family.

We also offer carriage rides in our black and red velvet vis-a-vee carriage for weddings, anniversaries, or any other special events. We also have a wagonette for larger crowds. These carriages are pulled by our lovely Clysdales mares.

All of our horses are rescues from all over the midwest. Many of our horses came to us starved and barely able to walk. While a few were physically abused or unwanted horses. We pride ourselves on giving these horses a second chance in life:)
