Southern Pines Farm is a full care boarding facility located in Jupiter Farms. Our mission is to provide the best quality care for each horse, no matter the breed or discipline. Our farm has a dedicated staff that go above and beyond to make sure that each horse's needs are met.
The barn is CBS and hurricane rated and has a total of 14 stalls, each with their own sand walk outs. Each stall is bedded with wood shavings and outfitted with a "stall mattress" to provide an extra element of comfort. We have 15 grass paddocks for daily turnout- We accommodate day or night turnout as well. The barn itself has 5 grooming bays and 4 outdoor wash stalls, all with fans. The ring is a 150 x 250 sand ring with a full course of hunter and jumper jumps. It is well maintained and watered/dragged daily. We also have a 4 horse MK Walker and a 60' round pen for lunging. There is access to trails from the property, as well as a grass path around the paddocks to ride on as well.
We have two boarding options-
Full Board includes
• Top Quality grain fed twice daily (Lunch grain by request)
• Timothy Mix hay fed throughout the day
• Supplements added to grain AM and/or PM (Provided by owners)
• Feed through fly supplement added to grain (Provided by SPF)
• Water buckets cleaned and kept filled
• Stalls thoroughly cleaned 2-3x a day and shavings added as needed
• Fans on during the day/night during summer months
• Blankets applied/removed during winter months
• Fly spray system that mists into each stall several times a day
• Fly spray/ Fly masks/Fly sheets/Turnout boots applied and removed
• Hosed off or brushed when returning from turnout.
• Feet picked daily
• Daily inspection of the horse for any cuts/scrapes/shoe issues and owner notified
• Basic medical care- applying medications/coverings to wounds (silver spray)
• Night Check- Hay and waters topped off
• Worming/Fecal egg count rotating schedule.
• Administering Maintenance injections (Adequan, Acetyl D, Etc.)
• Use of Hot Walker (Boarder puts horse on/Takes horse off)
Full Grooming/Tack Up Board includes-
• Full Groom-Currying full body, brushing, feet cleaned, and hoof dressing applied
• Thrush care/ treatment
• Mane and tail maintained
• Rain rot/ fungus prevention/ treatment
• Bath once a week
• Medical care/rehab- Bandage changes, leg wraps, ice boots on/off, medications administered as needed
• Horse placed on Hot walker at owner's request (Includes hosing afterwards if needed)
• Tack Ups arranged with Grooms
