We are now booking 3 month up to annual lease arrangements at the Barking Dog ranch in Woodlawn, Arkansas. A former organic vegetable farm and equestrian property, the Barking Dog as we liked calling it, is 13 miles south of Pine Bluff and just an hour from Little Rock. Based on interest it should be available for lease by August 2021.

There are 4, 3-9 acre “no-climb” fence tracts, each with water, and access to a 15 acre “community” area that includes a 3,000 square foot greenhouse, peach, plum, and apple orchard and gardening is welcome. In the shared area there is a newly constructed wood framed barn barn with concrete floor and wash pad, chicken coop, stocked 3 acre lake, great riding trails, practice /arena area and more! We have barrels and poles for your use, an RV pad with water/electric connection, and long term trailer parking in the community area.

Prices range from $300-$600 monthly and includes water. The common area has electric, water, high-speed internet and phone for a $100 monthly agreement. This property plus an additional 5 acres is for sale and currently listed with an agent. If we generate enough interest in building this organic equestrian community we will remove the property from the market!

Not to be confused with our Arkansas listing we also have a property in Eagle Nest, NM. This property available beginning in September offers overnight and weekly horse boarding, arena, and direct access to miles and miles of trails across state lands and the Carson National Forrest. We also border Eagle Nest Lake and river with world class trout and winter time ice fishing. Our single bedroom bed and breakfast is very private and available for daily, weekly, and monthly rental and perfect for skiers, hunters, fishermen, bird watchers, and equestrians. The views of Wheeler Peak in our photos are literally from the front porch and we can’t wait for you to enjoy it too!

Located between the Red River and Angel Fire ski resort’s along the “Enchanted Circle” portion of Highway 64, we are within minutes of these two major attractions, plus the Taos ski resort, the historic Pueblo reservation, Eagle Nest Lake, downtown Taos, and the interstate 25 corridor. With clean alpine air, mountain prairies, and the aspen trees, we are separated by only a few miles from the wild horses of New Mexico’s desert Mesa. This area was the location for many western’s like Lonesome Dove and the hit Netflix series Longmire because of having such a dramatic “wild, wild, west” landscape!

Because we are minutes from three major ski areas, world class fishing, and have private deeded access to hiking, equine activities, trophy elk, bear, or turkey hunting on state land and the Carson National Forrest, please make your reservations early for fall/winter 2021. Our fall colors with the Aspen’s are amazing and you and your horse will love the grazing, remote trails, and fresh mountain air!
