Riverside Stables / Horse Camp in Springfield, Illinois

Each summer for over 20 years Riverside Stables has been running the Best Horse Camp in Springfield, Illinois! Children have a blast at horse camp. Kids will learn to groom, saddle, and ride, ride, ride! There will be lots of hands on with experienced CPR certified instructors, in a safe, clean environment. They will learn how to feed and care for horses. How to understand horses and their needs. They will learn Western horsemanship, breeds, colors, markings, hoof care, tack, and much more.
Great outdoor fun!
Riverside Stables has had 16 foals that were born and raised at our Ranch. Most are still used to this day for Trail rides, Horse Camp, Birthday Parties, and Riding Lessons.
Excellent for children, they are kid safe.
Horseback riding is an amazing way to experience the great outdoors and to connect with nature. Outdoor activities require physical exercise, which we all know is good health for our bodies. Just being outside has positive health benefits.
Horses have the special ability to make you be totally in the moment, they are therapeutic.
