Taylor McMurtry- Head Trainer
Taylor McMurtry began riding and competing at age 8. Advancing through the ranks at lightning speed she competed in her first Grand Prixs at 13 years old in Wellington, FL. Taylor has won numerous Gand Prix classes and placed in more than 30 Grand Prix competitions $25K and over. Taylor has three times qualified for and competed in the Pfizer Million Dollar Grand Prix in Saugerties, NY, twice as a Junior rider. Taylor, at the time, was the youngest to have ever been invited to the $200,000 Gene Mische American Invitational in Tampa, FL. Taylor was also invited to and competed in the New Albany Classic Invitational. Taylor has also competed in many World Cup and FEI CSI 3* level competitions. As a junior rider,Taylor was part of the Silver medal team at NAYRC (National American Young Riders Championship).
Taylor has trained under and worked for world-class jumper professionals such as: Chris Kappler (Olympic Silver Medalist), Peter Leone (Olympic Silver Medalist), Norman Dello Joio (Olympic Bronze Medalist), Aaron Vale (winner of over $3 million in jumper prize money), Alex Jayne (Top Hunter Jumper trainer) and Todd Minikus (Olympic Team alternate). Having trained riders ranging from beginner show jumpers to Maclay finalists, Taylor delivers training appropriate for the individual’s needs and her style is relaxed and patient.
