Dr. Wolfe started Wolfe Equine Veterinary Practice in 2001. Wolfe Equine is an equine dental specialty practice and is currently accepting new dentistry patients in Marion and surrounding counties. If you are looking for a knowledgeable, experienced, gentle and compassionate veterinarian to take care of your horses' mouths please call . She performs routine floats, corrects incisor and cheek teeth malocclusions, treats periodontal disease and does extractions. My routine dental includes: taking a patient history; doing a brief physical exam; sedation; use of a dental speculum, mirror and probe to perform the dental exam (evaluating the occlusal surfaces for fractures and gingival margins for gingivitis and periodontal disease); floating, balancing and addressing any other problems noted during the exam. I use a water cooled flexi-float system with a vacuum for floating and equilibrations. I can do both extra-oral and intra-oral digital radiographs. I will make a farm call to do one or more horses. Upon completion of the visit I will email you a copy of the patient’s dental record. The average cost for my services with sedation, exam, and routine float (with reduction of minimal hooks and ramps) is $150 per horse plus a trip charge.
