Higher Ground Equine will officially open on July 1, 2013. Services include: Lameness evaluation, Joint therapies (injections), Equine Chiropractic care, Digital X-ray and Ultrasound, Dentistry, Reproduction, and Preventative care. Horse owners in the Asheville area likely remember Dr. Williamson from the time he practiced at Mountain Equine from 2006-2008. Since then, he has worked along side Dr. Meeker at Davie County Large Animal Hospital gaining valuable knowledge and experience in equine lameness and sport horse medicine. Also, Dr. Williamson attended Options for Animals (an animal chiropractic college) in 2011 and became IVCA certified in animal chiropractic. He is familiar with many breeds and disciplines in the equine industry including: barrel racing, dressage, hunter/jumper, Western/Rodeo, Saddlebreds, and miniature horses.
