First Coast Farrier Services specializes in maintaining sound shoeing for performance horses, show horses, pleasure horses and gaited horses. I am a professional farrier in my 7th year of business. I attended Casey and Son Horseshoeing School in Georgia. Since horseshoeing school I have apprenticed under several other farriers/blacksmiths. I have worked on numerous of horses all diverse styles of riding both English and Western. (Please look under "Services" for list of corrective shoeing and equestrian sports that I have shod in the past and currently.) I also have a love and passion for riding equestrian sports from foxhunting to working cow horses. I believe in remaining educated and informed with the most current shoeing practices and techniques as a farrier/blacksmith to better fit the individual needs of my clients and their horses. I am punctual and use the most humane handling of the horses. I do not do non-trustworthy work, meaning I will not put excess materials on your horses feet to raise your rate. I will do what is necessary to benefit the horse. When I shoe a horse I do not shoe for the next competition, I shoe for ten years down the road. Keeping horses shod correctly at all times is extremely imperative. Otherwise your horse maybe sound today, but will he/she be sound tomorrow? We also specialize in corrective shoeing for lameness. Such as laminitis, navicular, club foot, angular deviations, acrylic hoof repair. My job is to make the horse as comfortable as possible. Some ailments have no cure, so making the horse comfortable is very important. Thank you for looking into First Coast Farrier Services!
