We are full care boarding, training and lesson facility. We specialize in American Saddlebred and Morgan horses. Lessons are taught on our American Saddlebred and Morgan horses and accept any level of riding students.

Sugar Knoll Farm is a lovely, family-friendly equine operation located in Huber Heights, Ohio. We are geared towards helping people of all ages and experience levels have FUN with horses! With a large indoor riding arena and heated viewing lounge, riding lessons are taught year round. Shelley Fisher, Sugar Knoll's instructor, has over 20 years of experience with horses and has taken numerous teams on to win local, National, and World's Championship titles. While competition is an option at Sugar Knoll, there are also plenty of other ways to enjoy horses, such as the fun-filled private or group lessons, where emphasis is on building confidence and skill. Specializing in Dressage training, that truly believes in QUALITY not Quantity! I am a USDF Bronze, Silver and Gold Medalist and I am currently showing my horse in the Grand Prix arena . I do have clients that show all levels, we travel to both schooling shows and rated USDF and USEF shows.
I provide a safe learning experience for all ages. I typically focus on AA clients at all riding levels welcome and training issues welcome. I have helped many horses and riders become partners again.....it's an amaizing process and I enjoy the journey with you and your horse.
Lessons are $60 per hour lesson, and must be payment due at the beginning of the month or at the time of each lesson.
Our Indoor is attached to the barn making It easy to come and go in bad weather. We welcome all breeds and disciplines. I offer a lesson program to students that do not own their own horse but would like to enjoy the benefits of riding.

We offer IEA and IHSA team riding including hunter/jumpers. Encouraging solid skills and equitation is our focus. Serving the Oxford, Hamilton and West Chester Ohio areas.

We provide lessons for the beginner through advanced rider, focusing on the importance of a correct seat for successful communication with your horse. Whether you prefer Western or English disciplines, we will help you communicate clearly with the horse for balanced and collected movement. Some people call this 'centered riding' and some call it 'biomechanics,' we call it solid horsemanship. We provide lessons on our horses or you can load in.

For those starting out in horse riding, we will provide you instruction on horse care, grooming, haltering and leading a horse. We will show you how to tack up, and we will discuss the horse's structure and the biomechanics of riding. We want you to learn the cues for riding, when to apply them and why they work. Under saddle you will learn how to balance upon your horse and communicate with your horse through your hands, seat and legs. We will provide you training in walk, trot and canter in an arena setting and then move outside of the arena for more challenge.

For the intermediate student who currently rides and wants to expand their ability, we will further develop your seat with balance and agility exercises. You can learn flying lead changes, dressage patterns or how to jump - anything is possible once you have confidence in your seat.
