Beginner riding lessons for any age. I have an indoor arean allowing lessons to preceed even if outdoor riding is unavalible. Bring your own horse or use one of ours. You will learn how to ride as well as care for a horse of your own. Driving lessons are also avalible. I have a Clydesdale who would be willing to help you learn the basics of driving, harnessing, and showing under cart.

I have ridden in many shows doing western, reining, hunter, contesting, and saddleseat. I have also driven a single and double hitch at shows and would love to help any first time rider or driver

Since 1989 I have specialized in working with youth and amateur riders. I started my career riding Western horses with my speciality being All Around/versatility and Trail (show) . During my college years I delved into the world of showing hunter jumpers and there I would spend the next 20+ years showing and competing. 2020 marked my path back into the Western world.
I operate a small lesson barn with a very minimal number of boarders and minimal number of training horses at any one time. If you are interested in training or tune ups, please be aware there my be a waiting list. Lessons are 45$ per hour for most riders. Walk/trot riders 6-8 $35 (30-45 min) Youth 6 and under (leadline) are 30$/ half hour. As of 2022 we will offer video/remote lessons. With a strong emphasis on safetyand solid basics. "At home" programs/lessons are available so you can work on your owns horse or we can problem solve, standard rate +fuel sur charge (max 20 mile distance) Children with ADD/ADHD and high function autism are welcome as my program can me modified to accommodate their specific needs. We are a non-showing, no pressure riding stables that offer one hour private pay-as-you-go lessons i.e. no need to buy lesson packages as with most stables in our area. The lessons are suitable for all levels of rider from absolute beginner through advanced, teaching both western and english style with the opportunity for trail rides and foxhunting for students enrolled in our lesson progam. Jamie Gunyula has been teaching for nearly 15 years and has taken many riders from their first few rides in the lesson program to winning ribbons at the shows on their own horses. She had the amazing opportunity to work as an assistant to advanced rider and successful horseman, Jeffrey Taylor, for 8 years. Those years of hard work and invaluable experience from Jeffrey sharpened her teaching, riding, and training skills. During that time Jamie competed through the Intermediate level, including a CIC 2*, and brought many young horses along through the levels successfully.

Jamie welcomes riders of all levels and has several wonderful school horses available. She is also happy to travel to you on your own horse and offers coaching at the horse shows whenever available.

We have fun but safe riding lessons. I have been a full time riding instructor for 9 years, I certainly love what I do. I typically start at the age of 5 but I have had some students start as early as 4 years old. Right now my oldest student is 50 so as you can see I have a wide range of ages. I do use my personal horses, I have at times traveled to other barns if need be. My rates are 4-5 year olds are a half an hour private lesson for $15, 6 years old and up is an hour private lessons for $25, group rate for the hour lesson is $5 off each participant.
