I am a University of Findlay graduate holding 2 Bachelors Degrees in Equine Business Management and Western Equestrian Studies offering riding lessons, training, show coaching and 4H help in the areas of Lorain, Huron and Erie counties of Ohio. Instruction is available for all ages of riders, with a focus on building a solid horsemanship foundation in both beginners and advanced riders. I can halter break foals, start horses under saddle, or finish a horse in any of the following disciplines; western, english, jumping, showmanship, contesting and trail. I charge $35 per hour and like the owner of the horse to learn my training techniques so they know what to do with the horse when they are working with them. I also do monthly training that requires the horse be boarded on out farm. $250 for full care board and $250 for training. I work with the horse at least 4 times a week. My main goal when training is to have a calm, respectful and willing horse on the ground and in the saddle. I believe the proper ground work is the key to most problems. I give lessons to beginners up to experienced riders. I also will give lessons to all ages; no on is too young or too old in my eyes. I prefer private lessons only but will give a group lesson up to two riders at a time. I charge $35 per private lesson and $25 per rider for a group lesson. Lessons usually last 1 1/2 hours because I guarantee an hour on the horses back.

I have 19 years of experience training horses/riders. I have had over 6 different personal trainers and I study John Lyons,Pat Parelli,Guy McLean, Chris Cox, Clinton Anderson, Craig Cameron and many others on a consistent basis. I believe you can never know everything and the same techniques do not work on every horse. I have shown in all of the above disciplines and have done very well.

*Note - we have moved into our own private facility, so address has changed as of June 2013*. We are a non-showing, no pressure riding stables that offer one hour private pay-as-you-go lessons i.e. no need to buy lesson packages as with most stables in our area. The lessons are suitable for all levels of rider from absolute beginner through advanced, teaching both western and english style with the opportunity for trail rides and foxhunting for students enrolled in our lesson progam. We specialize and have much experience with first time riders of all ages, with many adults and children as young as 6, helping those who have never seen a horse all the way through to the wannabe first time horse owner and beyond. We have both indoor and outdoor riding arenas, as well as onsite 29 acres of private wooded land available for year round riding.
