Elhanan Equestrian is an English Riding Stable breeding quality Connemara Ponies, Fine German Riding Ponies, and Sport Horses breeding for the Olympic disciplines, and specializing in Eventing, Dressage, Hunter/Jumper, and Pony Club disciplines with an emphasis on correct classical training of horse & rider. Each rider- no matter their skill level- can understand how the horse thinks and how to better communicate with their equine partner with simple horsemanship tools and techniques, We strive for riders to achieve a true partnership with their horse both on the ground and while riding.

Jill Timmons has been training, teaching and coaching professionally for over 25 years. Jill developed and operated a sizable business in the Equine industry in which she taught riding lessons for adults and children with an emphasis on safety and a balanced seat. Overseeing multiple instructors, she organized and taught a program of nearly 150 students. Jill has successfully coached students in the Hunter-Jumper discipline into High Point and year-end championships in Hunter and Equitation divisions. From rank beginners to advanced adults and children, Jill takes riders from Walk/Trot to Equitation Medal Champions. Jill has organized clinics, competitive events, and summer camps. Most importantly, Jill helps mold students to be responsible, respectful, confident, compassionate and competitive, growing their passion for horses.

Starting youngsters, brushing up the trained horse, or bringing a horse to the next level, Jenny maintains the classical dressage methodology in all aspects of horse training and care. Youngsters are brought along slowly, with an emphasis on clear communication and mutual trust. Horses receive a well-rounded education through cross training and relaxing hacks out of the arena setting. This keeps the horses fresh and happy in their work. Each horse receives a program tailored to fit the individual needs of the equine athlete.

We believe competitions provide a goal to work toward. Whether your focus is on riding in your first show, aspiring to compete at a rated show, or to some day ride at the Advanced levels of Eventing or Dressage, we know equine competition is one of the rare and unique sports that is not just about winning, but about the process. We specialize in that special bond between horses and kids in a safe and fun way. We have 58 acres with a lighted ring, full set of hunter fences, full set of jumper fences and a dressage ring. We are in the process of adding more jumps to our trails. At PLEM we only have one or two spots available to a child or adult with previous or current riding experience and if they are interested in showing in local (inexpensive) shows in our area it is a plus! Our riding lessons include English on the flat and hunter/jumper. This includes teaching proper horse handling, grooming, tacking, barn maintenance, equine anatomy and vocabulary, as well as equine vet and health care. Teaching proper horsemanship not only prepares our students for horse ownership, but also teaches the life lessons of hard work, responsibility and the importance of caring for animals. We train riders and horses to work together so they have fun and are safe. Fun and Safety are our goals. We also have several lease or partial lease options available depending on experience and riding preference.

We strongly believe in teaching our students how to safely, effectively, and clearly communicate with their horses in the saddle and on the ground, and to take responsibility for the horses they ride, treating them with kindness, consideration, and respect.

Lessons include instruction on grooming, tacking-up, horse care and management. We also have a under cover arena so weather does not "normally" affect the lesson schedule, and it helps from the hot summer heat to keep us cool and on rainy days.

In the saddle, students focus on developing balance and using their weight ("seat") to communicate with the horse. Students use the escalation of aids to obtain the softest response from their horse with the least amount of pressure. I am a trainer with 10 years of riding exsperience and have been teaching for 3 years. I have taught beginners, intermediate and advanced riders. I excel in teaching English Pleasure, Western Pleasure, Gaited Riding and Hunter Jumper. Lessons are at the location listed above (Anne Springs Close Greenway Horse Stables). The age to start lessons is eight years old. We provide a healthy and friendly environment with a wide variety of horses that will fulfill your needs. Certified Equine Mental Health Clinician via EGALA and trained in Therapuetic riding instruction via NHARA this Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LISW-CP #5160) brings 16 years in the field of behavioral health primarily with children, adolescents and thier families in conjunction with 35 years of Equine experience to the Pee Dee and surrounding areas. Appointments are available from 5:30 to 7:30 pm weeknights and provider: equine facilitated psychotherapy for children, adolescents and thier families. We also do couples work, grief work, and tradtional counseling. We do Therpeutic riding with Autism spectrum children, aspergers, medically fragile, physically and emotionally challenged children.

Formally CK Performance Horses, we specialize in working with you and your horse as a team and or matching you with the right horse.
