I have been riding and showing horses for over 20 years. I have experience training everything from hunters and jumpers to throughbreds at Darby Dan Farms. Extensive knowledge of jumping and under saddle work as well as conformation classes and showing on the "A" circuit. I am able to train beginners, intermediate and advanced riders of all ages. We have fun but safe riding lessons. I have been a full time riding instructor for 9 years, I certainly love what I do. I typically start at the age of 5 but I have had some students start as early as 4 years old. Right now my oldest student is 50 so as you can see I have a wide range of ages. I do use my personal horses, I have at times traveled to other barns if need be. My rates are 4-5 year olds are a half an hour private lesson for $15, 6 years old and up is an hour private lessons for $25, group rate for the hour lesson is $5 off each participant. Beginner riding lessons for any age. I have an indoor arean allowing lessons to preceed even if outdoor riding is unavalible. Bring your own horse or use one of ours. You will learn how to ride as well as care for a horse of your own. Driving lessons are also avalible. I have a Clydesdale who would be willing to help you learn the basics of driving, harnessing, and showing under cart.

I have ridden in many shows doing western, reining, hunter, contesting, and saddleseat. I have also driven a single and double hitch at shows and would love to help any first time rider or driver

Lunar Winds Stables' lesson program is based on training ideals that strengthen bonds and communicate with horses through their mind, voice, emotions, and body language. Through riding, they learn how their seat affects the horse, and learn how to recognize different types of horse behavior and what could be done to make problem behaviors better.
