Graystone provide the highest quality lessons, training, and care offered in the Northeast Ohio area. Services include boarding, training hunters/jumpers, public riding lessons, showing on USHJA/USEF "A" circuit and local OPHA schooling shows, and horse sales and leasing. Our training programs are customized to meet the horse's and rider's needs. For our lesson program we have horses that can accommodate all ages and levels of riding and will give you the tools to succeed in this sport. Sherri is a high honors graduate of Kent State University with Bachelor of Science degree in teaching. She currently runs one of the largest horse 4-H clubs in the county. She has a passion for instruction. Her love for horses and the children that ride them is evident in her training. She offers comprehensive instruction both on and off the horse to prepare her students both children and adults for the show ring if desired. Our professional is Heather Froehlich. Heather is a second generation horse trainer with 15 years teaching and training experience already at the age of 28. She has extensive experience in hunters, jumpers, equitation, dressage and horse health care. Heather has very successfully shown at Regional A rated shows qualifying for nationals 6 consecutive years as a child rider as well as qualifying numerous students for finals as well.
Heather has trained with a variety of professional trainers including Lynn Cartellone, Jeff Gogul, Farra Phillips-Hillyard and John Roper. She has also attended numerous clinics, studying the concepts of George Morris, Susan Harris, Felicitous, and Frank Madden. From 2006 - 2008 she spent in Central Pennsylvania training horses and riders of all levels including serving as assistant coach for the Bucknell Equestrian Team.
Heathers is an experienced and enthusiastic trainer dedicated to producing well-rounded, effective and confident equestrians. Anyone who works with Heather comes to appreciate the one on one attention given to both the horse and rider and the attention to details. Heather has attained a high skill level of riding and is able to school or re-school the greenest of horses. We teach all ages and levels of hunter, jumper and hunt-seat equitation riding and will help you reach your specific riding goals while learning invaluable horsemanship skills.
Our trainer and students attend shows and clinics in order to keep current on the latest riding techniques.
