Little Burgundy Farm is a privately owned and operated farm that provides group and private horse riding lessons. We are located only a couple miles south of the beltway near Telegraph road.

Zephyr Stables offers riding lessons to all ages. English and Western lessons are available from beginner to advanced. We offer a fun atmosphere and learning experience for anyone interested in horses. We specialize in rehabilitation of rescue horses that are used in the lesson program. We offer weekly trail rides as a group or schedule your own ride. Take some lessons and join in on the weekly rides. We match up small riders with small mounts and not so small riders to horses just their size. Birthday and other parties also available with pony rides. Did you grow up around horses and now want your child to have some of those great memories? Come learn with your kids! We specialize in teaching children as young as two years old to any age!

We offer over 25 years of experience in teaching, training and showing horses!

We have a friendly down home back yard country environment! We are not a "show facility" per se but a peaceful , happy environment for both horse and rider. We have proven safe retired show horses that are excellent teachers!

We offer 30 or 60 minute Private Lessons with one-on-one instruction! You will be taught all about Horsemanship for English and Western Equitation including grooming, leading, mounting, dismounting, walking, stopping and basic trail riding.

We also offer Therapeutic Riding which offers a combination of physical therapy, riding lessons, relaxation time and play time.

Country Meadow Farm, LLC has a dynamic team of instructors that are now accepting new students, beginner through advanced. We welcome all ages of riders 6 years old and up. We offer most disciplines with an emphasis based on groundwork to provide an understanding of the language of the horse. This will in turn translate to a balanced seat and correct use of the aids to achieve the optimum relationship with the horse that you desire. We value the horse as a partner in our goal setting, whether that be winning a national title or maximizing your enjoyment of trail riding. You can enjoy taking lessons on one of our program horses, or you can trailer your own horse to the farm for a more personal experience. We also are thrilled to travel to you for lessons or a clinic.
Shelby is a Certified Instructor, through the Certified Horsemanship Association (CHA), in both the Western and Hunter seat riding disciplines, as well as jumping. She has also achieved her Equine Facility Manager Certification through CHA. As the Virginia Representative for CHA, she would be thrilled to help others get their certifications in one of the many areas that CHA offers. Shelby is also an American Quarter Horse Association Professional Horseman, providing training, lessons and boarding at Country Meadow Farm, LLC. She is available for clinics throughout the year.
With a high level of standards, Shelby has hand selected a team of instructors to help her with beginner and intermediate lessons. Each individual has passed a skills test and has student taught under Shelby's supervision. In addition, each instructor has either achieved their instructor certification through CHA or is actively pursuing it.
Shelby is available for judging, as a certified and carded open horse show judge. Also, she is trained through the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship in Equine Assisted Psychotherapy and Learning to offer a highly successful experience for a wide variety of individuals. She works hand in hand with a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the equine to create a healing triad.
Country Meadow Farm, LLC also offers boarding, training, clinics, equine retirement, and other specialized services for horses recovering from medical treatment or abusive trauma.
