Baily Dent Equestrian is an established program located in just outside of Charlottesville, Va. at Millington Stables. Our facility boasts 50 stalls, 2 out door rings, spacious grassy turnout, and 1000+ acres of trails through Farmington Hunt Country. Baily Dent is our head trainer. She grew up riding and showing in Charlottesville, Virginia and has spent a lifetime showing at some of the most prestigious horse show in the country. Baily has successfully brought along many young horses and riders to achieve the same kind of success she has enjoyed throughout her career. Baily stresses good basics in her teaching and believes that this strong foundation is what brings riders success in and out of the show ring with their horses. Baily strives to use all forms of communication with her riders to identify how each individual learns best, be it visually, verbally or hepaticly. Our lessons are geared toward any age rider who wants to learn a safe and effective approach to riding in a fun and friendly environment. Private and group lessons are available. We attend a verity of shows ranging from local schooling shows to national AA rated shows throughout Virginia and the East coast. Lessons are offered for all ages on your horse or our own. Kelsey is an upper level eventing rider who recently moved to the Hanover area and is looking for some new students! Kelsey has competed her 2 horses from their first event to the CCI* and intermediate levels. She also has experience in dressage, jumpers, 4H, and polocrosse. Kelsey takes students to local horse trials and 4H shows, including the state 4H Championships. She can travel and accommodates trailer ins (has a nice set of show jumps and a handful of XC fences on her farm, with a dressage ring in the works). Equus Springs Farm offers lessons in both hunt seat and western pleasure, and are open to beginner through intermediate riders ages 5 and up. Our budget friendly lessons are designed to create a partnership between the horse and rider based on trust and understanding and effective communication. Lessons include grooming, tacking, and other ground skills, along with mounted skills. Our farm has a number of high quality school horses and ponies for all riders regardless of experience, or you may trailer in your own horse for lessons.

Couderay Springs Farm offers horseback riding lessons for all ages and all levels of riders. We specialize in well rounded English lessons that are safe, fun, and educational. Our goal is to teach the rider to become a partner with their horse and fully understand him at all levels. We provide individual and small group (2-3 people) lessons and have an excellent crew of lesson horses of varying abilities. Additionally, we provide partial and full leases to people in our lesson program and also gladly accept ship ins. Our facility has over 50 acres 20 min south of Charlottesville, which include a sand ring with hunter/jumper jumps, a center aisle barn with tack room and bathroom, and trails that wind around the property.

Over 25 years of experience support our philosophies and we truly believe that one is always learning. The main instructor has studied with top riders both locally and abroad, in many different disciplines including hunters, jumpers, eventing, dressage, driving, and western.
