English and Western style riding lessons are available to Beginners through Advanced riders. Whether it is you or your child's first time or their 100th time, our instructors will pair you with one of our knowledgeable lesson horses. Our facility offers both group lessons and private lessons catered to your riding level and preference. Horse Lover's Club: A Fun club of horse loving kids who are learning the basics of the animals we all love. We will explore the different varieties of riding through an hour group riding lesson. Then we will return to the barn, and our instructor will lead a fun, interactive horse science class that will improve your knowledge on anatomy, safety, care, barn management, and much more.
Note: This is a fun, beginner level educational session, participants may have a few take home assignments that they will be scheduled to bring back to their club meeting the next week.

School is out? We are open! Join us during school breaks - Join us and our four-legged friends for a day of riding, fun, and meet new friends. SPACE IS LIMITED, SIGN UP AND RESERVE YOUR SPOT TODAY! Additional information can be found on our scheduling page or through Facebook.

We begin our day riding riding English or Western it is up to you. Not sure, or first time riding? Not a problem! Our instructor will be happy to assist you in choosing After riding, and our horses are bathed, and cooled, we break under the shade of the barn for our first hands-on Horse Science Lesson. What is a better way to learn than hands-on with our equine friends? Riders will learn the aspects of grooming, nutrition, anatomy, horse care, veterinary care, and much more during this session.

In the afternoon we break for lunch and cool down in the A/C or under one of our large oak trees. In the mid-afternoon Riders will work with their assigned Project Horse and participate in the various activities (show grooming, bathing, clipping, etc.)

I did high school rodeo when I was in high school and was a world qualifier for the NBHA. I also took riding classes for English and western in college. I was also the EQ director for a couple summers of a YMCA camp.

Kris started his career early on a breeding farm in New Mexico where he learned how to raise foals and break babies.

Seeking to learn the methodologies of training and horsemanship at the highest caliber, Kris moved to California to work with international Grand Prix and Longines FEI World Cup rider Jenni Martin-McAllister and Steve McAllister.

It was here that Kris tuned his talents both as a rider and trainer with an extensive focus in work on the flat and gymnastics.The core of the program uses a sensitive approach to unlocking the horses’ muscles while riding, through massage and stretching. On several occasions Kris also had the unique opportunity to work closely with Buddy Brown. As Assistant Trainer to Jenni Martin-McAllister and Steve McAllister he worked long-hours diligently riding young horses, teaching and showing.

Kris competed on the “A” circuit at prestigious shows such as: Pebble Beach, Del Mar, the Oaks, and HITS Thermal Desert Circuit from Hunter Derbies to Grand Prix jumpers. Aboard “Fly” he successfully competed through the 1.45m jumper divisions. Onboard his mare, Shalimar he has successfully competed through the Grand Prix jumper Divisions.

Kris successfully trained students from beginners all the way to the Grand Prix. In 2014 Kris made the decision to open his own equestrian training facility, Kris Di Carlo Equestrian, that would ultimately allow for him to continue his dedication to the maintenance and well-being of horse and rider. The philosophy of classical horsemanship along with a growing understanding of the mechanics of the horse gives Kris the expertise to successfully care for and train a diverse group of horses and riders. Through his in depth knowledge of flatwork and gymnastics, Kris instills in horse and rider confidence and understanding of the technical aspects of jumping.

This system translates into success over courses and in the show ring. His knowledge, enthusiasm and dedication to horse and rider makes Kris an ideal trainer. Respect and encouragement is the keystone to his training program.

Debbie also worked with and for several US and European, Olympian Dressage riders and has ridden in and attending many Hunter/Jumper and Dressage Clinics. Debbie has qualified and shown in both the Medal and Maclay National Finals two years in a row at Madison Square Garden, New York, NY and The Pennsylvania Nationals, Harrisburg, PA. Debbie also has acquired numerous Equitation, Hunter and Jumper Championships and wins at such prestigious shows such as Devon, Ox Ridge, Fairfield, The Hampton Classic and Syracuse. In addition, as a junior rider, Debbie was selected to compete in the Dressage Junior Olympics. Debbie has also worked abroad in Frankfurt and Ankum Germany to train Jumper and Dressage European Warmbloods for selection to be imported to the USA. Debbie has also managed several large well known show barns (with up to 80 horses) in Florida, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Kentucky.

Debbie has a great passion and love for all animals and loves to teach children and adults to ride to their fullest potential with their horses and ponies. Not only does she teach them to ride well, but desires to educate them to understand, feel and think for themselves to become truly effective riders and to develop a winner mentality…that in turn can positively influence and correctly train their horses. On nice days there's nothing better than riding outside in either our round pen (great for beginners), riding ring and track (ideal for driving lessons).
During inclement weather we can move inside to our beautiful indoor arena, a spacious 150x50. There is no reason to miss a lesson due to rain!

I am a USDF Silver Medalist and have had the opportunity to train horses from birth through Grand Prix dressage and everything in between. I have been training horses for over 15 years and have worked with a USDF Gold Medalist and "R" judge for over 10 years. I have successfully started many young horses under-saddle, and have had the privilege to bring several of them past Fourth Level so far, scoring in the 70's at every level along the way.. Most notably training the imported German Warmblood stallion Blue Eyed Dream GF from a gangly three year old to competing together in Intermediare-1 dressage with scores as high as 76%, I have worked with many different trainers throughout the years and look forward to sharing my knowledge with the horse community in the central florida area and beyond. Hunter Ventures is a hunter/jumper training facility for all ages and abilities. We offer a wide variety of choices in services. Full and partial board are available to fit each individual horse owners needs.
