Our aspiration at Cross Trails Stables is to provide an inexpensive facility where horse lovers of all ages can have serious, and play, time with horses. We offer full care in our 13,060 sq ft facility. Our full board includes feedings of 14% pelleted feed, quality hay grown on the farm, daily stall cleaning with fresh shavings and turnout (weather permitting). Owners and stable help live on site. Owner/operator Nicole Eckert is a certified Riding Instructor through the Certified Horsemanship Association (CHA) in both english and western disciplines, beginner through advanced, as well as a certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor. Since 1989 I have specialized in working with youth and amateur riders. I started my career riding Western horses with my speciality being All Around/versatility and Trail (show) . During my college years I delved into the world of showing hunter jumpers and there I would spend the next 20+ years showing and competing. 2020 marked my path back into the Western world.
I operate a small lesson barn with a very minimal number of boarders and minimal number of training horses at any one time. If you are interested in training or tune ups, please be aware there my be a waiting list. Lessons are 45$ per hour for most riders. Walk/trot riders 6-8 $35 (30-45 min) Youth 6 and under (leadline) are 30$/ half hour. As of 2022 we will offer video/remote lessons. With a strong emphasis on safetyand solid basics. "At home" programs/lessons are available so you can work on your owns horse or we can problem solve, standard rate +fuel sur charge (max 20 mile distance) Children with ADD/ADHD and high function autism are welcome as my program can me modified to accommodate their specific needs. Specializing in Dressage training, that truly believes in QUALITY not Quantity! I am a USDF Bronze, Silver and Gold Medalist and I am currently showing my horse in the Grand Prix arena . I do have clients that show all levels, we travel to both schooling shows and rated USDF and USEF shows.
I provide a safe learning experience for all ages. I typically focus on AA clients at all riding levels welcome and training issues welcome. I have helped many horses and riders become partners again.....it's an amaizing process and I enjoy the journey with you and your horse.
Lessons are $60 per hour lesson, and must be payment due at the beginning of the month or at the time of each lesson.
Our Indoor is attached to the barn making It easy to come and go in bad weather. We welcome all breeds and disciplines. I offer a lesson program to students that do not own their own horse but would like to enjoy the benefits of riding.
