New Zealander Marguerite Barrier works with all skill levels, from beginning through advanced, and will take all ages of riders, from four year olds through adult. Marguerite specializes in introducing mature adults with no riding experience to horsemanship in an organized and safe fashion. She welcomes any student who demonstrates a commitment to excellence in the hunter/jumper and general equitation disciplines.

Marguerite offers training and lessons on a beautiful 20 acre ranch in Briones, California, just minutes from Highways 24 and 80 in the Bay Area.

The facility offers

* a large outdoor jumping arena,
* indoor arena,
* round pen,
* turn-out pasture for daily turn-outs,
* stalls with runs, and
* box stalls.

Lesson horses available for all skill levels. Horses are also available for sale or lease.

Training is $350 per month, which includes lessons; horse board is $300 per month in pasture, stalls are $500 - $600 per month. If your horse is not in training, group lessons are $50 per hour; private lessons are $50 per half hour, $100 per hour.

Yasmin Emery-Brownlie, owner and trainer, is a California native whose involvement
with horses spans nearly 40 years. She attended college and graduate schools on the East Coast while also spending nine years training with Olympic veteran and coach George H. Morris. She has worked at numerous show barns and participated in show jumping competitions throughout the US and Canada. She was the owner and trainer at South Lake equestrian in El Dorado Hills. Following the sale of that facility, the focus shifted from a full time training program to horse sales and limited training to family members and sale clients. Westhaven Farm was founded in 1994 by top hunter rider and trainer Diane Yeager. Westhaven Farm is a full service boarding and training facility dedicated to serving Hunter, Jumper and Equitation riders.
We are located on 10 beautiful acres on the Danville-Pleasanton border. We teach proper horse care and correct riding to the beginner rider through the advanced rider.
Westhaven is a family atmosphere that provides, supervised riding, hunter-jumper training and showing, long term leases, sales and lessons.
