Our full service equestrian program provides clients with a solid foundation for future success. We work with riders striving to improve their skills, whether they are competing at rated hunter jumper shows or just looking to achieve personal goals. We offer professional level of care that will help you and your equine athlete develop into a focused team with a strong partnership. In addition, we assist clients with equine purchases locally and internationally. Our personalized program and Willow Creek Horse Park’s equestrian environment is a combination of state of the art design, experienced management, personal service and good old fashioned horse sense.

The trainer at Willow Creek, Ryan Oropeza has over 23 years of experience in riding and coaching. He has numerous successes at different levels of hunter, jumper, and dressage competitions. He qualified young horses for dressage competitions of national scope. He has coached students with great success in everything from short stirrup, ponies, adult and junior equitation to junior jumpers and hunters. Ryan has been coaching the UC Davis Equestrian Team for nearly two years with much success.

Contact me for English riding lessons or Western Riding lessons. I teach adults, children and youth riders. I really enjoy teaching young riders how to learn to ride. Many of the kids that I started now have children of their own, that I am teaching.

I offer a summer horse back riding camp. Students are divided by English and Western. They will learn basic grooming, horsemanship, riding balance, horse care. My lessons are fun, positive and learning based. I have been teaching for the past 20 years.

At the end of the program kids will get to attend an English or Western schooling show.

I have horses and ponies available that are seasoned show horses, and safe for young riders. I also provide the englsih or western tack and saddles. Using one of my lesson horses is a great way to get started without the cost of owning your own horse or pony. I also have horses including quarter horses and paint horses available for lease

I offer partial leases, haul ins, private and group horseback riding lessons. Everything from a full service show barn participating in A and B level Horse shows to local English and Western schooling shows.

I also work with advanced riders specializing in trail, showmanship and western pleasure.

California barrel racing to starting Gymkhana horses, Alyssa Moreland has a the ability to work with riders that have limited experience and problem horses.

Alyssa has grown up on the West Coast, working ranch horses and started showing western pleasure and English
horses and competing at local play days. She then went on to compete in barrel racing's at rodeos. Progressing to
barrel racing competitions at junior rodeos, queen competition events. Currently she competes at the 4D barrel
events, is training barrel futurity horses and re-schooling problem horses and working with youth qualifying horses.
Alyssa Moreland, has is well respected in the California State Horsemans Association, CSHA.

She has worked hard to learn to train and start horses from scratch and is now working with and training horse
competitors including children to help their dreams come true. Alyssa has many horse championships under her
belt including winning CSHA division 1 and division 2 and in the top 5 at CSHA California State Finals, and in the
top 3 at the California State Fair and Winning the 2007 Keep The Dream Alieve event . She has worked for top
reining horse trainers in California including Ted Butler of Ted Butler Performance Horses.

As a horse trainer Alyssa is always teaching the principles necessary not only to win, but also keeping riders
performing at their best. Alyssa has helped some of the CSHA Region 3 youth competitors to become champions.

Teaching from the beginning. Safety, how horses think and what are they feeling is SUPER important to me. I want to help my students create a calm responsive partner in their horse in what ever discipline they choose.
Keeping the horse's mind and body relaxed is a high priority for me… not to say I won’t add pressure… I will… I just want to present it in a way not to overwhelm and blow up either the horse or student.
Keeping all that in mind this is what I go over in the beginner lessons:
Approaching horses, haltering , leading, grooming, minor vet care, health, nutrition, saddling, bridling, rein handling,
Leg cues, balance and equitation. I have access to arena and trails.
Students are started with a series of undetermined lessons on the ground first and foremost. As a student progresses in their understanding and response time they are moved into mounted education.

I also offer problem solving, trailer loading and obstacle clinics.
